AUSTRIAN SUMMITS
	Diese Serie soll euch einige österreichische Berggipfel mit jeweils einer möglichen Anstiegsvariante näherbringen.
	The intention of this series is to present some Austrian summits and recommended ways to reach the respective summit.

STEINNOCK 2197 m
	Der Steinnock steht ein wenig im Schatten seiner beiden höheren Nachbarn, der Falkertspitze und des Klomnock. Nichtsdestotrotz ist er ein wunderbarer Aussichtsberg im Verbund der Nockberge und immer einen Besuch wert. The Steinnock is somehow the little brother of the Falkertspitze and the Klomnock. Nevertheless a visit is well worth the effort allowing an undisturbed stay on the top as well as a magnificent view to the Nockberge around.

	Anreise / Approach: Von Badkleinkirchheim entlang der L 13 St. Oswalder Straße bis zum Parkplatz bei der Nationalparkbahn Brunnach. Coming from Badkleinkirchheim follow the road L 13 to the parking area near the valley station of the Brunnach cable car in St. Oswald.
	Anstieg / Ascend: Wir beginnen unsere Wanderung nach der Auffahrt mit der Biosphärenparkbahn Brunnach. Von der Bergstation aus folgen wir dem Wanderweg 161 in Richtung Nordost entlang der Brunnachhöhe auf den Mallnock (2226m.) Beim Gipfelkreuz folgen wir dem Wanderweg in Richtung Nordosten zum Klomnock (2331m.) Von hier gehen wir weiter in Richtung Steinnock (2197m). Anstiegszeit: 2,5 - 3 Stunden bei gemütlichem Tempo. After taking a ride at the Brunnach cable car, we'll start our tour at the mountain station, following the trail 161 heading to the northeast. This brings us after one hour to the summit of Mallnock (2226m). We'll keep heading to the northeast and follow the ridge to the summit of Klomnock (2331m). A moderate descent and a short ascent finally takes us to the summit of Steinnock (2197m), our final target. Total ascension time: 2,5 - 3 hours at moderate speed.
	Abstieg / Descend: Für den Abstieg bieten sich drei Möglichkeiten an: entweder geht man den Pfad zurück zur Bergstation der Seilbahn; oder man nimmt den direkten Abstieg hinunter zur Lärchenhütte; oder man geht weiter Richtung Falkertsee bis zur Abzweigung im Bereich der flachen Scharte, wechselt auf den Wanderweg 1611 in Richtung Süden und folgt diesem zur Lärchenhütte. Von der Lärchenhütte folgt man dem Alpe Adria Trail in südlicher Richtung zurück nach St.Oswald. For descending 3 possible alternatives are available: Go back the trail to the mountain station of the cable car; Descend directly from Steinnock until you hit an unpaved road - this leads you to the Lärchenhütte (in combination with the Alpe Adria Trail); Keep on going towards the Falkertspitze - at the junction in the saddle follow trail 1611 which also leads to down to the south to Lärchenhütte. From Lärchenhütte the marked Alpe Adria Trail leads you straight to the parking at St. Oswald.

Der Cachebehälter ist eine MunBox, die ausreichend Platz für Tauschgegenstände bietet! In der MunBox befindet sich nochmals eine Lock&Lock-Dose, in der sich das Logbuch befindet. Und im äußersten Notfall, wenn alles andere nass geworden ist, liegt nochmals ein Petling mit Reservelogbuch in der Box! Bringt sicherheitshalber immer einen eigenen Stift mit - danke!
