AUSTRIAN SUMMITS
	Diese Serie soll euch einige österreichische Berggipfel mit jeweils einer möglichen Anstiegsvariante näherbringen.
	The intention of this series is to present some Austrian summits and recommended ways to reach the respective summit.

TISCHFELDSPITZE 2268 m
	Die Tischfeldspitze ist ein Berg in den Wölzer Tauern und erhebt sich südöstlich des ehemaligen Gemeindezentrums von St. Nikolai im Sölktal, das heute als Ortschaft zur Gemeinde Sölk gehört. The Tischfeldspitze is a mountain in the Wölzer Tauern and rises southeast of the former community center of St. Nikolai im Sölktal, which today belongs as a village to the municipality of Sölk.

Anreise Parkplatz Erzherzog Johann Hütte / Approach parking Erzherzog Johann Hütte: Von der Ennstalstraße B320 bei Pruggern (Westen) bzw. Espang (Osten) Richtung Naturpark Sölktäler abzweigen. In Stein/Enns Richtung Sölkpass abzweigen, und nach etwa 23 km ist der Parkplatz bei der Erzherzog Johann Hütte erreicht. Alternativ aus dem Murtal kommend über den Sölkpass und nach wenigen Kehren bergab ans Ziel.

From the Ennstalstraße B320 turn off at Pruggern (west) or Espang (east) in the direction of the Sölktäler Nature Park. In Stein/Enns turn off in the direction of Sölkpass, and after about 23 km you will reach the parking lot at Erzherzog Johann Hütte. Alternatively, coming from the Murtal over the Sölkpass and after a few hairpin bends downhill the destination is reached.

Kurze Tourenbeschreibung / a short description of the hike: Vom Parkplatz bei der Erzherzog Johann Hütte erreicht man in 5 Minuten die Winkleralm - hinter der Winkleralm zieht ein markierter steiler Pfad durch den Wald nach oben bis zur Mahdfeldhütte.
Hinter der Mahdfeldhütte führt ein noch deutlich erkennbarer Fahrweg hinein ins Kar - ab hier gibt es keine Markierungen mehr und man ist auf sein eigenes Orientierungsvermögen angewiesen.
Auf einem einigermaßen erkennbaren (Tier-)Pfad quert man die Latschenfelder und steigt dann weglos über steile Grashänge in den südöstlich der Tischfeldspitze gelegenen Sattel auf. Dabei sind zwei Weidezäune zu überwinden.
Vom Sattel in wenigen Minuten nach Nordwesten zum Vorgipfel und weiter auf den Hauptgipfel (Trittsicherheit erforderlich!).
Wieder zurück in den Sattel und immer am Grat entlang bis zum Kammkarlspitz mit seinem kleinen Gipfelkreuz. Der weitere Übergang zum Schafdach erfordert wieder vermehrt Trittsicherheit.

From the parking lot at the Erzherzog Johann hut you reach the Winkleralm in 5 minutes - behind the Winkleralm a marked steep path goes up through the forest to the Mahdfeldhütte.
Behind the Mahdfeldhütte a still clearly recognizable road leads into the cirque - from here on there are no more markings and you have to rely on your own sense of direction.
On a somewhat recognizable (animal) path, you cross the mountain pine fields and then climb pathlessly over steep grassy slopes to the saddle located southeast of the Tischfeldspitze. There are two pasture fences to overcome. From the saddle in a few minutes to the northwest to the pre-peak and further to the main peak (surefootedness required!).
Back to the saddle and always along the ridge to the Kammkarlspitz with its small summit cross. The further transition to the Schafdach requires increased surefootedness again.

Abstieg:Vom Schafdach sehr schön dem Südgrat folgend hinunter zum Seekar-See, allerdings ist der weitere Abstieg Richtung "Weg zum Hochstubofen" ziemlich verwachsen, mühsam und der beste Weg nicht immer leicht zu finden.
Als Alternative bietet sich vom Schafdachgipfel der zwar steile, aber relativ problemlose Abstieg entlang des Westgrats zur Mahdfeldalm an.
Hat man den Pfad erreicht, folgt man den Markierungen zurück zur Erzherzog Johann Hütte.

Descent: From the Schafdach very beautiful following the south ridge down to the Seekar lake, however, the further descent towards the "path to the Hochstubofen" is quite overgrown, tedious and the best way is not always easy to find.
An alternative from the Schafdach summit is the steep but relatively easy descent along the west ridge to the Mahdfeldalm.
Once you have reached the path, follow the markings back to the Erzherzog Johann Hut.

Der Cache befindet sich unter einem markanten Stein. Der Cachebehälter ist eine Lock&Lock-Dose, die ausreichend Platz für Tauschgegenstände bietet! In der Lock&Lock-Dose befindet sich das Logbuch, ein paar Stifte und eine Stash Note. Und im äußersten Notfall, wenn alles nass geworden ist, liegt nochmals ein Petling mit Reservelogbuch in der Box! Bringt sicherheitshalber immer einen eigenen Stift mit - danke!
