A trip to West Virginia isn’t complete without a little adventure. Visit Camp Mountaineer, a scouting reserve complete with a zip-line and C.O.P.E. (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experiences) course! Spend the morning hiking, caching, and testing your skills on the ropes. A group will also be heading to Fairmont to complete the F.L.O.A.T. series.

Welcome to Camp Mountaineer! Whether you're conquering the climbing wall or simply enjoying great conversation with friends, you're in for an unforgettable adventure in the heart of wild and wonderful. Experience the thrill of zip lining, test your teamwork on the COPE course, or relax and take in the stunning natural beauty that surrounds you. Get ready to make memories, challenge yourself, and embrace the spirit of the outdoors!
Parking. Carpooling is highly suggested as parking will be limited at times throughout the event. General parking is located at the top of the hill near the start of the zip line, while a variety of VIP parking options are located at the bottom of the hill.
Sign the Log! Visit the mess hall to leave your mark on our event banner!
Ride the Zip-Line. Soar through the tree tops on this 330-foot zip line taking guests from the upper parking area to the lower event area. Participation in this activity is free, but you MUST sign up for a time slot. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled time. If you do not have a reserved time slot, you are welcome to check back for any no shows at the top of each hour.
Geocaching Merit Badge. (10 - 11 am) Ever wondered what it takes to earn the Geocaching merit badge? Are you a scout and want to earn it yourself? Join us in the mess hall for a live presentation on all things Geocaching.
Come F.L.O.A.T. As part of this event, a group will be traveling to downtown Fairmont to complete the kayak wherigo trail. For those interested, please review the following information, and meet the group at the kayak launch at 8 am.
