Geocache Description:

The party continues with the largest coin and personal tag trading event in the world happening at the WVU Mountainlair until midnight! Enjoy the campus lit up at night as well as a live Geocaching game show, bowling, and other activities.

📣 Event Details

Welcome to the heart of West Virginia University's Morgantown campus, the Mountainlair. This expansive facility serves as the student union and is home to a food court, theatres, ballrooms, study areas, and a bowling alley (yes, really). Celebrating some of Appalachia's most elusive cryptids, we invite you into the 'Lair for an evening of fun. Don't forget your glowsticks and UV lights!

Parking. Parking for Midnight Madness will be located in the Mountainlair parking garage. VIP parking will be on floor 1, via Prospect Street, and general parking will be on floor 2, via College Avenue. Parking here is limited, and please exercise caution in the garage as it can be tight. A variety of other parking lots are available within walking distance of the event.

Sign the Log! Don't make your presence elusive, sign our logbook banner located near the common area of the Mountainlair.

Trading. Midnight Madness is all about the trading! Whether it's coins, personal tags, travel bugs, or stories, come with your pockets full, and prepare to leave with even more!

Shadows of Appalachia Adventure Lab. Can you find Mothman, bigfoot, the Flatwoods monster, and all their friends in this interactive lab adventure? Bring a UV light and hunt for 5 hidden banners throughout the event venue.

Bowling, Billards, and Games. Looking for fun for the whole family? Head to the basement of the Lair to take part in bowling, billiards, and games! A $7 pass will get you access to all activities in the games area.

Left-Center-Right Games. Bring your personal tags to trade in this interactive dice game. Meet cachers from around the world and swap trinkets in this fast-paced game. Sign-ups coming soon.

Geocacher Feud. (9 pm) It's HQ lackeys vs. influencers in this Geocaching-inspired version of Family Feud. Take a break from all the madness and enjoy this quirky gameshow.

Geocoin Poker Tournament. (9 pm) How's your poker face? Bring 3 unactivated geocoins (NOT micro coins) and sign up to claim your seat at the table. Final three split the pot in this exciting version of geocoin poker. Must be 18 years or older to participate.
