Die vielen positiven Rückmeldungen zu unserer Serie des Berner Stadtbachs haben uns inspiriert, einen neuen Fluss in Angriff zu nehmen. Dieses Mal ist es die Urtene (auch „Urtenenbach“ genannt), welche in der Nähe von Münchenbuchsee entspringt und durch den Moossee fliesst, bis sie zwischen Bätterkinden und Schalunen in die Emme mündet.
Als Orientierungshilfe findest Du ein paar Kartenausschnitte für diese Etappe, in welchen der Bach blau (oberirdisch) oder rot gestrichelt (unterirdisch) eingezeichnet ist. Achtung: Der folgende Link startet den Download einer Datei mit weiteren Details, die zum Finden des Geocaches benötigt werden. Als Cachebesitzer versichere ich, dass diese Datei ungefährlich ist. Du startest nicht ganz an der Quelle, da diese in der Nähe des Hotels Schönbrunnen liegt, Dein Weg beginnt, wo der Urtenenbach zum ersten Mal ans Tageslicht kommt. Am besten parkierst Du in Münchenbuchsee oder reist mit dem öffentlichen Verkehr dorthin und gehst bis zu den Startkoordinaten (= Stage 1). Der Munimattbach mündet hier in den Urtenenbach. Unterwegs kannst Du die Caches GC623Y2 und GC5QM6P suchen (wenn Du sie nicht schon gefunden hast).
Wichtiger Hinweis: In jedem Logbuch oder auf jedem Logstreifen im Final findest Du Wortfetzen. Du brauchst sie, um die Schluss-Koordinaten zu berechnen. Schreib’ sie also an einem sicheren Ort auf. Pass’ auf, dass Du den richtigen Wortfetzen notierst – es gibt einen für die deutsche und einen für die englische Fassung.

Ersetze die gefundenen Flaggen durch die passenden Zahlen und setzte diese anstelle der Buchstaben in die Final-Koordinaten ein (Beispiel: In Zelle A9 ist die Flagge rot-weiss-blau; den Zahlenwert dieser Flagge setzt Du bei A ein):

The many positive responses to our series on Berne's Stadtbach have inspired us to tackle a new stream. This time it's the Urtene (also known as the ‘Urtenenbach’), which rises near Münchenbuchsee and flows through the Moossee until it joins the Emme between Bätterkinden and Schalunen.
As an orientation aid, you will find a few map sections for this stage, in which the stream is marked in blue (above ground) or dashed red (underground). Attention: The following link starts the download of a file with further details needed to find the geocache. As the cache owner, I assure you that this file is not dangerous. You don't quite start at the source, as this is near the Hotel Schönbrunnen, but your route begins where the Urtenenbach first comes to light. It is best to park in Münchenbuchsee or travel there by public transport and walk to the start coordinates (= stage 1). The Munimattbach flows into the Urtenenbach here. On the way you can look for the caches GC623Y2 and GC5QM6P (if you haven't already found them).
Important notice: In every logbook or on every log strip in the final you will find word fragments. You will need them to calculate the final coordinates. So write them down in a safe place. Make sure you write down the correct word fragment - there is one for the German and one for the English version.
