WE WERE WARNED...
The latest cache in
‘The Tattoine
Incident’ series will take you close to the
location of an exceptionally powerful beacon which directs
approaching space craft into the Wormhole at Chelford some 7 miles
south east (see
'The Tattoine Incident:
Wormhole').
What is particularly interesting about the site of this beacon is
that The Device which was erected by The Dark Side in Tatton Estate
in 1953 is directly in line with both this beacon and The Wormhole
thus providing conclusive proof that The Device is used to police
the approach of space craft towards The Wormhole. I have illustrated this
configuration in the map below:
The cache site is in a lane approx 250m north west
of the Beacon, which is located in the woods next to the main
A556. The Beacon is
quite clearly visible from here but you should not venture any
closer to it as if you do it will rapidly cook your brain from
the inside out as I am beginning to learn for myself. The Dark Side has made a very
lame attempt to disguise the beacon as a 'tree' to camouflage it
within the wood. The
fact that it is 22M tall and looks nothing like a tree makes it
quite easily visible and also causes you to wonder about the real
capabilities of The Dark Side. However, they are a powerful Force
and usually know what they are doing.
You can only enter Millington Lane by turning
left from the northbound carriageway of the A556. Do not under any circumstances
try a right turn into the lane if you are approaching from the
other direction. The
whole area is dangerous enough without you incurring the added risk
incurred by breaching traffic regulations. You know The Dark Side takes a
very dim view of this…and for good reason.
THE
TATTOINE INCIDENT SERIES
The main cache is
'The Tattoine Incident: 1'. This will take you on a 2 hour
journey around the original landing site and describes the incident
that occurred in Tatton Park in February 1953. A recent example of
the activities of The Dark Side is visible at a related drive-by
cache nearby called
'The Tattoine Incident: 2- Further Evidence' (now archived)
where you once were able to inspect at first hand the first Earthly
application of The Device. If you still aren't convinced
that there are things going on that we should be seriously bothered
about, then visit
'The Tattoine Incident: 3- & What's Going On
Here?!'. Here you
will see evidence of a large Earth monitoring system and an
abundance of mutant creatures.
'The Tattoine Incident: 4- Wormhole' and
'The Tattoine Incident: 5- Wormhole Approach Beacon' will help
explain why this part of the country is of such importance to The
Dark Side. I have
adopted a cache at
'The Tattoine Incident: 6- The Bongs' where there appears to be
a Dark Side training facility and finally there is a large object
which will cause you extreme alarm clearly visible at
'The Tattoine Incident: 7- OMG!
WMD?!'.
To
complete your research there is

geocache which has been developed using the Wherigo system. The
tour will take you around the original 3 stage multi-cache and
provides you with additional information about Tatton Park and The
Incident. It culminates with an additional bonus cache which is
logable.
