Bug History:

This travel bug was originally the top of a troop flag, which due to the ravages of time, eventually broke off.

Saved for many years, by a Scoutmaster as a memory of good times past. When he past, the piece came into my hands, and I felt the Scouting Spirit , and Goodwill coming from this piece. If you do a good turn, have fun outdoors on a camp out take a digital picture, and include this Travel Bug "Scout Spirit" in your report to this web site. This bugs mission is to spread the Positive aspects of scout spirit where ever it travels.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 10/9/2005 alofnovi grabbed it   Visit Log

I received TB from Koda at the 2005 Michigan Commissioner College at Mid-Michigan Community College on October 8th. TB attended the Bachelor of Unit Service training and enjoyed the fellowship of BSA leaders improving their skills to help suppport the BSA units they serve. As many of the attendees were Eagle Scouts, Koda made sure that a photo of TB and those Eagle scouts was taken, and said he would post the picture. I am planning on using the TB to introduce Geocaching to Troop 407 (Novi, MI). I will also be taking TB to campouts and Clinton Valley Activities, trying to get photos of TB with as many Eagles as possible.

Dropped Off 9/28/2005 Koda and Meesa placed it in Trail To Eagle Michigan - 37.42 miles  Visit Log

I had this bug for loger than I should have. It has had many scouting expieriences the last month. It has attended several Boy Scout meetings, a troop court of honor, an Eagle Scout court of honor, Cub Scout Roundup, attended Cub Scout meetings, gone through OA ordeal, and is now BALOO trained.
I grabbed this bug from Trail to Eagle just before I drove to Camp Rotary for Commissioners College. Attached is a photo of the 7 eagle scouts that were in attendance during my unit commissioner class (thats me holding the bug). From there I passed it on to alofnovi, a fellow cacher that was taking the class.

A trustworthy Eagle Scout loyally retrieved this TB in a helpful fashion. The friendly man courteously escorted his kind wife through the trees to the cache. He was obedient to the travel bug's mission, and cheerfully continued east in his Honda Civic, an extremely thrifty car. He braved ferocious thunderstorms on the Interstate, while thinking only clean words as truckers forced him from his lane. This TB will end up in Ohio, almost in Michigan. I must regard this dorky travel bug saint with reverence.

Placed TB in cache hoping to head it back to the East. While it was in Denver, it had a chance to attend a meeting with Tiger Cubs and Bears Pack 501 in Aurora, Colorado.
