The construction by the bridge is not complete, but is up to a point where Washington Ave is open to vehicle traffic. Pedestrian crossing will occasionally be limited to the south walkway, but both stages of the cache are now easily accessible. Yesterday I found the cache in place and in good condition. Use standard stealth strategies for this multi, especially if the work crew is present. As always, the times you do NOT want to be here are from 7 to 8 AM and 3 to 4 PM Monday through Friday, as large numbers of Bulldogs will be passing through.

A brief stop here with Don&Donna on our way to Riverfront Park for a pleasant picnic and live music. Found the tree ornament and signed in. We'll have to continue this series on our next visit.

Thanks CT for this fine earthcache. We all enjoyed the tour. My daughter and grandchild live in Wilmington and invited us to the beach at the country club just around the corner. I told them we could see some real sand dunes nearby. They never knew about this place. Perfect example of geocaching taking people to places in their own back yard that they've never been to. Everyone helped with the collection of data.

I really enjoyed this hike. I haven't been on this trail in over 25 years, when my daughter was in Girl Scouts. I'm glad I came in the winter, I had a great view of the terrain the whole time. That prompted me to take a few panoramic shots. TFTEC!

Thanks to ToTH for organizing this gathering in downtown LaGrange. Everything was right on time. Good to see many of you again, and enjoyed meeting some newbies too.

It would have been nice for International EarthCache Day, but we couldn't make it to Sagawau Canyon for the group tour earthcache and picnic lunch event. Jeanne was apprehensive of the "wet terrain warning" anyway. So we stuck to our original plan of coming here, and the wetness proved to be within her comfort range.
Nice walk through the wetlands, then we followed the trail into the woods and got to our destination. I pulled the gallon container and garden hose from my backpack. Then Jeanne's brother Beji made his weekly call and was told to call back a little later after we completed our experiment. Cell phone freed and set to stopwatch, we take several samples of jug filling and record our findings. Fun earthcache, which had been on my "to do" list for years.
Jeanne talks to Benji all the way back to the car, while I take pictures.
