Bamboo the Panda Travel Tag

The river of life is a nice project by the city; it’s great that the metropolis invested into cleaning up the river! As such, it’s given us nicer walks and we’re happy this is one of them. Recently gone missing and after OM, glad we could sit down & log this nano!

While walking around, we next visited this fountain, another confusing EC question just like the fountain we visited in Malacca a few weeks ago. The fountiain is absolutely beautiful! Just like the one in Malacca! But these questions? Maaaaan, these are some weird questions to have on a fountain which isn’t made from natural stone..!

The Padang mystery cache was a nice cache to visit today; we spent nearly 20 minutes here walking in circles looking for this 2D other sized cache. It wasn’t until I defied the hint that I spotted the cache from about 20 meters away. Nice hide, nice find.

Today wasn’t a most successful start, we started off the day with four DNFs, but this is our last of eight visited stashes today. We got to GZ and I started looking for the stash, while Laura plopped down and started looking for a place to eat. We were hungry, but still in need of a find. I started looking around and while the hint seemed pretty obvious although possibly cryptic, I quickly checked all the surrounding possible hiding spots. I knew I had eyes on me, so had to be extra theatrical in my search. After some searching and using my phone to check the exact hiding spot, I was clueless and wasn’t able to figure this one out. I kept circling and knew I was close, my senses were tingling. But I couldn’t figure it out, I circled back to Laura for a second pair of eyed; she managed to find it without missing a beat. We opened up the logbook, certain that no one was peering at us, and were glad to find only a single log signed on the paper. We inked our nick in and as we are second in the logbook we’re claiming a soft STF here with this TB by our side.

It’s been twenty whole years to the day that I created my geocaching account, and this big anniversary meant we just had to head out after work today on |week_day| |date_long|, and try to find a few caches. However, it wasn’t a most successful start, with one find and four DNFs behind us. That’s definitely not a good streak to end things on, and so we continued around Brickfields to push our luck up a bit. We started getting hungry, but the hunt continued, and next we revisited the Syrian Orthodox Church, which I had previously visited alone in October, when it seemed the cache did indeed disappear. However today with Laura by my side, I had my hopes up high, and we re-arrived to GZ. The location was just how I remember it, but this time one important OM log was here to help us. While the note itself wasn’t helpful in itself, the all inspiring recent maintenance meant we felt a little more motivated. We searched and searched, and while this mischievous little hide is very well hidden, we did quickly uncover it. Happy to find this little container, we felt like this was expertly hidden and could easily be marked as a D3+. We’re the second in the logbook, and we’re happy to see the church again. Laura also saw the rats, pigeons, and other animals which are visible all around the area. Another nano container in KL visited with you!
