Another DNF. These overpass caches are really tricky for us. There’s a nano hidden on a busy bridge and there’s half a million places to discreetly hide it. We’ll have to come here again! So many of these around!

One DNF in an urban jungle park behind us, we turned our attention to the cache I actually came here for. A seemingly easy cache at a little mall, we initially felt uncertain. But searching and searching, I eventually found the container. Water inside, the logsheet fell apart in my hands. Funny how paper can transform over time! But cache found, and for me this was a mission accomplished, so we’re all happy.

But, that’s not the end of Wednesday’s trip!

After work, we knew we had to head out to visit a few caches. While we kinda stopped geocaching for the random pleasure, there’s a few challenges which still keep pushing me. One of those is an everyday 5, and that pulled us out today. I had a need for a specific cache, and after work we headed that way. Unfortunately, this mystery cache was our first stop and we were unsuccessful. Long unfound, I still had hopes, but the stash seems to be gone….

Our last find of the day was this SideTracked stash. We were headed home after a great day and were technically already resigned, but as we were driving and even with my phone overheating, I could just barely see this park & grab opportunity coming up on the map. I managed to pull up just in time, and we made a stop at the parking garage. Looking around, Laura pointed me to the right place, and after a short walk, I soon got to GZ. Luckily no one around, and I easily uncovered the container. The silica bag is doing its job; the tiny logsheet is in good condition.Another cool stash we couldn’t drop a TB into; we made our find and headed home. Let’s see where the week takes us!

Visited 1/17/2026 Tommy_Laura took it to Taman Megah #1 Malaysia - .3 miles  Visit Log

We first searched at the wrong structure, but Laura instinctively found the right location and found the stash. Glad we found another nano in KL!

Visited 1/17/2026 Tommy_Laura took it to SideTracked - KJ23 Taman Bahagia LRT Station Malaysia - .33 miles  Visit Log

Oops, no find here. We searched and searched and searched but it turned our that the stash itself is missing. The sixth stash of the day to visit, but a few logs helped us even though e now know that indeed the stash is gone. Shame!

Visited 1/17/2026 Tommy_Laura took it to Tree hollow 2 Malaysia - 6.06 miles  Visit Log

Not long ago we were FTF to a cache with a near identical name. Today, we find this older stash in a tree hollow. A little tin container just thrown within the tree; not much to say here. Simple little find.

Visited 1/17/2026 Tommy_Laura took it to Relics of the technological past Malaysia - .24 miles  Visit Log

Saying goodbye to one of our TB friends, and we continue our journey with you. The relics of technological past was another nano container which we picked up while whizzing through this neighborhood. Quick find here; let’s go!

Visited 1/17/2026 Tommy_Laura took it to SS2 Community Malaysia - .11 miles  Visit Log

Time for a goodbye it is! We found this letterbox after I had solved it online a few weeks ago; easy to solve and happy to come to GZ. Here, we found the magnetic larger container without issue, right where we expected it. The cache itself is a magnetically attached electric conduit box, which was just big enough to hide one of our biggest TBs. Finally a goodbye, although it’s always a little sad for us to say goodbye to a TB. But after dropping one bug here and keeping it company with the kitten at GZ, we quickly realized that no other TBs might fit. And so, we keep you with us for some days to come…!

No find here; a DNF after five lab caches found. We’re convinced the cache itself is gone, but were so happy to have visited the art which the adventure labs brought us to!
