I am trying to promote scouting through geocaching. In Boy Scouts you use compasses a lot. Right now my compass points west. This travel bug wants to go as far west as it can.
A major principle in scouting is leave no trace. Leave no trace is a principle where when you go outside, you leave the place as good or better then when you found it. The seven principles of leave no trace are Plan Ahead and Prepare, Travel and Cache on Durable Surfaces, Dispose of Waste Properly, Leave What You Find, Minimize Campfire Impacts, Respect Wildlife, and Be Considerate of Other Visitors. So I encourage you to practice the seven principles of leave no trace and participate in Cache in Trash Out. Make sure you have fun with this travel bug!
