"Hello! I'm Grandma! Damnit! And I'm not happy my family is sending me out in to the world! I wanna stay home! I wanna play Nintendo! My rotten daughter is mean to me! Bart! Baaaart! Make her stop!"

About This Item

Grandma Enjoys Bryce Canyon, Utah. 2001

Relax yourself, Grandma! (Visit Grandma's official Webpage at http://www.amusings.net/grandma/ for more details as to why she is screaming. A lot.)

We here at Team Screamapillar [chief among them your rotten daughter Christine] think you don't get out enough! We have taken you on some excellent adventures and vacations. You've been to Arizona, Utah, Key West, Niagara Falls, Canada and Sweden! You were even eaten by a puppy and then cloned by the geniuses at Clonaid! Add to that the fact that today is your 38th wedding anniversary with good ole Bart over there, we thought there would be no better way than to celebrate your marital bliss than to send you off as a Travel Bug. Yell 'goddammit Bart' and put that tag on! Hit the road!

We know she's sometimes kind of grumpy, so here are instructions for finders of Grandma to help ensure she has a fun time as a Travel Bug.

1. Please let her play your Nintendo. Grandma LOVES her some Nintendo!

2. Grandma smokes, so keep her away from cigarettes. She needs a more healthy lifestyle, don'tcha know.

3. Humor her. She's a cranky old bag, but she's got a heart of gold.

4. If you repeatedly press the top of Grandma's head, she'll kick her leg. When someone makes you mad, chase them with Grandma kicking and she can yell at them. It's lots of fun.

5. Please Take Pictures of Grandma! The fun of Grandma's Adventures webpage is that Grandma gets to go to some wacky places. Email presidentkang2004@gmail.com with your Grandma pictures You can post them here on the Travel Bug watch site too.

6. update 1/2004: Team Wutzebear made a quilt for Grandma. If you retrieve her, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE QUILT! I'd like to make sure they stay together. You can give Grandma gifts -- just make sure she's in a bag, with her gifts, as you pass her along! Feel free to secure the gifts to her if you feel it necessary.

7. update 9/2005: Grandma recently suffered a second chewing by a dog. Back in the day, Jack Puppy ATE grandma and left her horribly malformed but thanks to the efforts of Clonaid she was rebuilt (see her webpage for details at http://www.amusings.net/grandma/obituary.htm). Being eaten TWICE by dogs has really made Grandma dog-phobic. Please keep her away from chewy canines. Thank you.

Grandma would like to make it cross country and back. Can you help her? I bet you can. Please don't lose her, she's near and dear to Team Screamapillar.

I have Grandma in my possession -- Thank you LabRat for shipping her back to me. And I emailed the last poster who has the quilt. Hopefully we can reunite Grandma with her homemade blanket (thank you Wutzebear, the original quilter).

We have a replacement Grandma to attach to the tag, and will retire the poor chewed up original.

If you come across a german/english dictionary in a field somewhere (very small, thumb size) it belongs to her.

Okay, Ive got the quilt! But Grandma shouldn't be cold this time of year without it. I do travel to Moncton and Fredericton on occasion if there is a cache that Grandma might end up in. I'll wait for an answer from the Lab Rat.

We left the quilt in Nova Scotia before we left. Look at Waypoint: GCJZ01, Point Prim and Proper and hopefully reunite Grandma with her quilt.

We found the quilt but without Grandma. Will place quilt in another cache and hope it gets reunited with Grandma. Found the quilt in Dickson Falls Family Treasure. We will be on the west coast of Nova Scotia the weekend of July 8 - 10. Will place the quilt across the bay from Dickson. Good luck Grandma!

Retrieve It from a Cache 6/13/2005 The Lab Rat retrieved it from Dickson Falls Family Treasure New Brunswick, Canada   Visit Log

Found Grandma tucked away under some logs. I didn't even know she was a TB. I found the tag loose in the cache and almost hooked it onto a lion toy. I had to read back through the log book to find out she was the TB! She looks more like a dog toy at the present. There is nothing to hook the tag onto and she now has several amputees. I will take care of her for awhile until she is fully mended then send her on her way.

Grab It (Not from a Cache) 6/9/2005 LogHomeLovers grabbed it   Visit Log

Grabbed this one from Aegis 34 - they had planned to place it in my Pot of Gold cache but the container was too small. Grandma needs a wheelchair. In fact, she's lucky to be alive after being mauled by Medwin, a GIGANTIC great dane belonging to DogGone Crazy in Ontario. She'll spend a little time recuperating in Charters Settlement (for those of you who don't know where that is, shame on you - it's outside Fredericton,NB, Canada). Once she's feeling better....Grandma -get away from those cigarettes!! Gotta go, she's mainlining nicotine.

Retrieve It from a Cache 5/23/2005 Aegis34 retrieved it from PSue's Point Ontario, Canada   Visit Log

Found Grandma with no problem. However, since she is now a parplegic, she needs help in moving along. I really think she needs to see an Occupational Therapist to prescribe her a sporty wheelchair. She has also lost her interest in knitting. Any help would be great. Maybe some more yarn would be great. On a visit to Ontario, we found her and will be helping her travel to New Brunswick. Stay tuned to Grandma's travels. Took Grandma, left nothing but plan to return to cache to leave something.
