    Tracking History (29798.1mi) View Map

Visited 11/29/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to TFTC Sydney - Yurong New South Wales, Australia - .12 miles  Visit Log

A quick stop in the beautiful Botanic Gardens to find this cache. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver appreciated the peaceful setting but reminded me that this simple find was merely a stepping stone toward its higher, bi-continental goal. TFTC Sydney – Yurong. The trackable has deemed this log sufficient.

Visited 11/29/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Mrs Macquarie's Chair - DP/EC52 New South Wales, Australia - .04 miles  Visit Log

    #### GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver held a private, reflective meeting with Mrs. Macquarie.

We stopped at Mrs Macquarie's Chair for this Earthcache. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver sat in the carved sandstone (metaphorically, as it's too small) and pondered the deep history and geology of the Sydney sandstone formation. It decided the best way to speed up its mission was to demand a quick summary of tectonic plate movement. A beautiful, educational, and slightly challenging stop!

Visited 11/29/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to The Best View in Sydney New South Wales, Australia - 62.59 miles  Visit Log

    #### GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver agreed it was a great view, but its favourite is the view back home.

GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver was duly impressed by The Best View in Sydney, taking in the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge from the Botanic Gardens. It condescendingly acknowledged the sights but promptly announced that while beautiful, this view is secondary to the eventual sight of the finish line of its mission. Ambition over aesthetics!

Visited 11/4/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to No Parking Here New South Wales, Australia - 54.5 miles  Visit Log

    #### GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver tried to drop itself off here but was informed it was an illegal parking zone. Haa haa, serves you right.

A cache with a name that is far too literal for an international traveller! GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver attempted to "park" itself permanently at the coordinates, but I explained the rules of the road (and the rules of geocaching). No Parking Here meant its journey with me must continue, much to its feigned disappointment.

Visited 10/26/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Wheat Sheaf Inn (Take 2) New South Wales, Australia - .31 miles  Visit Log

    #### GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver attempted to book a room at the historic Wheat Sheaf.

Stopping near Crookwell, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver briefly paused its mission planning to investigate the comforts of the Wheat Sheaf Inn. It checked the room rates and the food menu, calculating the optimal rest period before the next leg. It was informed that trackables are not generally permitted to stay overnight, so we just found the stages and moved on.

Visited 10/26/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Normanton (Take 2) New South Wales, Australia - 1.35 miles  Visit Log

    #### GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver briefly pondered a permanent move to Normanton.

Found the multi-cache at Normanton. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver seemed to appreciate the quiet, regional charm and briefly suggested we abandon the entire 'and back' part of the mission and just settle here. I reminded it of its greater destiny. The coordinates were solved, the final was found, and the mission continues.

Visited 10/26/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Cotta Walla Schoolhouse New South Wales, Australia - 7.3 miles  Visit Log

    #### GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver returned to school to refine its global strategy.

A crucial educational stop at the Cotta Walla Schoolhouse. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver insisted on a crash course in geography and arithmetic, claiming it needed to recalculate its optimal trajectory for the "and back" phase of the mission. It briefly attempted to teach me its method, but I reminded it I'm merely the driver, not the student. Found the cache and absorbed the history!

Visited 10/26/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Cobalt New South Wales, Australia - 7.61 miles  Visit Log

    #### GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver decided it was time to collect the elements.

We paused for a brief scientific interlude at Cobalt. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver is apparently collecting the periodic table as part of its global mission documentation. It insisted that touching the element's 'source' would imbue it with metallic travel luck. I'm not sure that's how chemistry works, but I humoured the little traveller. Mission log updated with one shiny new element!

Visited 10/26/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to A lesser known bushranger. New South Wales, Australia - 7.2 miles  Visit Log

    #### GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver is now operating in the style of a bushranger.

Final stop on this leg! GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver was captivated by the history of the "lesser known bushranger" at Kingsdale. It decided that from now on, it will only move under the cover of darkness and demand a toll (in the form of finds) from its carrier (me). A great piece of local history found!

Visited 10/26/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Iron New South Wales, Australia - 67.58 miles  Visit Log

The journey needs more Iron in its soul (and its logs).
Another element successfully collected! After visiting Cobalt, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver decided it needed the structural integrity of Iron to withstand the rest of the journey. It spent a moment examining the coordinates, contemplating the sheer strength required to complete a truly epic trip to Australia and back. It remains in my custody, feeling significantly more robust.
