They say patience is a virtue, but after completing A Jigidi for... Bundanoon, I’m convinced it’s actually a form of endurance sport. Solving this was like trying to assemble a cloud while wearing oven mitts, but the lure of a Bundanoon find kept me clicking. Once the digital dust settled and I had my numbers, the field search was a delightful breath of fresh air compared to my computer screen. The GZ was charming, and the cache was found without any of the 'missing piece' anxiety I experienced during the solve. It’s always rewarding to see a virtual effort turn into a physical find. Log signed and puzzle retired!

Most people pull into a roadhouse for a meat pie and a splash of diesel, but I came to A Jigidi for... Sutton Forest Roadhouse armed with coordinates earned through digital labor. Having solved the puzzle beforehand, I felt like I had a secret VIP pass to the area. While travelers wandered around looking for the restrooms, I was busy performing the 'geocacher’s crouch' near the GZ. It’s a clever way to turn a standard pit stop into a tactical mission. The cache was in great shape, and I managed to sign the log before the smell of fried food distracted me entirely. A perfect roadside distraction!

As a member of the Box of Chocolates Series: Chocolate Frog, this one certainly had me hopping. You never know what you’re going to get with this series, but I was hoping for something sweet and I wasn’t disappointed. Finding a 'frog' in the wild usually involves getting your boots muddy, but this one was much more civilized—though no less elusive. I spent a few moments scanning the area, feeling like a very confused naturalist, until the cache revealed itself. It didn't turn into a prince when I touched it, but it did provide a lovely logbook and a sense of accomplishment. Another delicious addition to the collection!

Throsbyonchurch took it to Dormie (Not So) Views

The name Dormie (Not So) Views is a masterclass in managing expectations. I arrived prepared for a lack of scenery and was greeted by exactly that—which is strangely refreshing in a world obsessed with panoramas. Instead of staring at the horizon, I focused my energy on the hunt, which required a bit more 'golf-pro' precision than I usually possess. It’s a clever hide that makes you appreciate the immediate surroundings rather than the distant hills. I may not have seen the sunset or the rolling plains, but the sight of a hidden container is the only view a real cacher needs anyway. Found it, signed it, and moved on!

Where I Go in Goulburn 039
Embarking on the Where I Go in Goulburn 039 leg of this journey felt like the opening scene of a very niche action movie where the hero’s only weapon is a ballpoint pen. I arrived at the coordinates with a sense of purpose and a GPS that was surprisingly cooperative for once. Goulburn is putting on a show today, and this particular spot offered a nice little moment of reflection before I got down to the business of rummaging through the scenery. The cache was found tucked away exactly where a seasoned hunter would expect, looking remarkably unbothered by the passing world. Log signed, smiley earned, and the momentum is officially building. Onward to the next milestone!

Where I Go in Goulburn 042
They say the meaning of life is 42, so I had high expectations for Where I Go in Goulburn 042. While I didn't find the secrets of the universe, I did find a very well-placed geocache, which is arguably more useful on a Tuesday afternoon. The search was straightforward, allowing me to appreciate the surroundings without getting too bogged down in a 'needle-in-a-haystack' scenario. It’s a clean, honest hide that fits perfectly into the rhythm of this trail. I signed the log with a flourish, feeling like I’ve truly mastered the Goulburn landscape. Now, if only the meaning of life included a self-cleaning GPS screen, I’d be set!

Where I Go in Goulburn 041
At Where I Go in Goulburn 041, I found myself contemplating the sheer dedication of the Cache Owner. To place this many caches requires a level of patience I usually reserve for waiting for my phone to charge. I approached GZ with the confidence of a person who has already found forty of these, only to be humbled by a very sneaky bit of placement. It took a moment of 'Zen-like' focus (and a bit of light cursing) before the cache revealed itself. It’s always the ones you think will be easy that give you the runaround. Glad to have this one in the bag as I continue my march through the series!

Where I Go in Goulburn 040
Finding Where I Go in Goulburn 040 felt like reaching a nice, round number in what is quickly becoming a masterclass in local geography. I’m starting to recognize the subtle nuances of Goulburn’s roadside decor—every fence post and shrub is now a person of interest in my investigation. This hide was clever enough to make me pause for a second, which is a high compliment given how many of these I’ve looked at today. The container is holding up well against the elements, and the logbook had just enough room for my frantic scrawl. It’s a great addition to the trail and kept the 'numbers run' spirit alive and well.

Where I Go in Goulburn 047
The hunt for Where I Go in Goulburn 047 took me to a spot that felt like a quiet little corner of the world. It’s amazing how a numbers run can turn a standard drive into an intimate tour of the district. I made the find with the practiced ease of a veteran, though I did have to double-check my coordinates just to be sure I wasn't hallucinating from too much caffeine. The container was in excellent condition, shielding its secrets from the elements. I added my name to the list of explorers and made a mental note that I’m nearly at the half-century mark. Great fun as always!

Where I Go in Goulburn 048
Approaching Where I Go in Goulburn 048, I realized that I’ve spent more time looking at Goulburn’s fence lines today than I have at my own television in the last month. This cache was a neat little find that required a tiny bit of 'poking and prodding'—the technical term for advanced geocaching techniques. Everything was exactly as it should be, and the log was surprisingly easy to extract. I’m finding that this series is a great way to clear the head and work on my step count, even if most of those steps are just circles around a specific tree. Signed and moving on!
