RADD Race - The Little Mermaid vs Cheeky Monkey
My partner and I have been caching together since we started dating and recently we came across an amazing idea for a trackable race with yearly prizes/forfeit for the winner/loser.
The winner will be whichever tag travels the furthest distance by NYE on any given year...
Please help us travel far and wide clocking up the miles and hopefully helping The Little Mermaid WIN!!

It is ANZAC Day today - a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand that broadly commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served".
I met up with my friends and went hiking in the You Yangs, some granite hills between Geelong and Melbourne. You visited the Bunjil geoglyph as part of the hike. Bunjil was a creator deity, culture hero and ancestral being, often depicted as a wedge-tailed eagle in Australian Aboriginal mythology. 🦅

Out caching with ConnieandRick today in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Some excellent and creative caches here including one that required ‘operating’ on a doll in an ammo box. Good luck.🧑⚕️

Visited my Aunty in North Balwyn today. I lived in the area during my secondary school years. My old house is still the same but lots have been turned into giant monoliths mimicking French Provincial or Neo-Georgian houses. It’s all a bit silly looking. 🏦

Time for a good deed. You helped clean up Rippleside Beach in Geelong at a CITO this morning. Geelong is the home of my Australian Rules Football team, The Cats. They won the Premiership last year. Tonight, they would go on to beat the Sydney Swams by almost 100 points. 🚮

A lunch date saw you in Altona, a suburb on Port Phillip Bay with a large beach. When the area was first settled, the town was named after the German town of Altona, now part of Hamburg. 🏖️

Into the city of Melbourne for you today. Melbourne is now officially Australia’s largest city with a population of nearly 5 million people. Found some caches and also saw celebrity gardener Costa Georgiadis give a talk when I walked through Federation Square. I just love being here soaking it all up. 🏙️

Welcome to Melbourne, Australia! I took you for a walk along Darebin Creek, Alphington to help you acclimatise. Visitors to Australia are not used to the smell (the air often smells of Eucalypts), the bright light, and the birdsong. It’s great to be home. 🇦🇺

Pack your bags again and find your passport. First up though is a night on the town in BGC. My friend has as apartment way up in the sky so we got to watch the sunset through the haze. You can usually see Taal Volcano from my house but the haze has been so bad that I only saw it once this trip. 🌋

I thought you should take in the wonder that is Epifanio de los Santos Avenue, better known by its acronym EDSA. It is the main ring road of Manila and it's the nightmare of all commuters. The 24km 12 lane road is named after Epifanio de los Santos y Cristóbal who was a historian, author, jurist, journalist, patriot and hero. You took the train here. 🚙

Lots of rain yesterday so it was a bit cooler today. Took myself for a walk to the Kalayaan Bridge over the Pasig River, the tidal river that runs through Manila connecting the Laguna de Bay to the sea at Manila Bay. The river was so polluted that it was declared dead in 1990 but is slowly being rehabilitated. 🐟
