RADD Race - The Little Mermaid vs Cheeky Monkey
My partner and I have been caching together since we started dating and recently we came across an amazing idea for a trackable race with yearly prizes/forfeit for the winner/loser.
The winner will be whichever tag travels the furthest distance by NYE on any given year...
Please help us travel far and wide clocking up the miles and hopefully helping The Little Mermaid WIN!!

A quick bit of cache maintenance in Chiswick where I live most of the time. Chiswick is/was home to the artist William Hogarth, as well as actors Colin Firth, David Tennant, and Hugh Grant. The Feller’s Griffin Brewery is here and so too is the finish of the Cambridge Oxford Boat Race. It’s a lovely place. But enough chit chat, get your passport because you are headed to Heathrow. ✈️

And another event. Never short of events in London apart from Covid times. Tonight was at a pub called Shakespeare’s Head in Holborn near all lots of law firms. Pretty sure Shakespeare had nothing to do with this pub. 🧙🏼♂️

A lovely day in London for you to visit the New Zealand War Memorial for a virtual. You also stopped at the nearby Australian one. I don’t forget that so many people from these new nations died so far away from their homes. I feel a strong connection to my home here. 🕊️

From Angel to Elephant and Castle, another odd name for a London area. Like Angel, Elephant and Castle is named after a pub/coaching inn which was first mentioned in the mid 1700s. It was the birthplace of the scientists Michael Faraday (electromagnetism, electrolysis, the practical use of electricity, and the discoverer of benzene) and John Newlands (inventor of the periodic table). It was also where Michael Caine and Charlie Chaplin grew up. 🐘

You visited my friend in Angel, inner north London, today. The area was named after the Angel Inn, a pub that stood at the corner of two busy roads in the early 1600s. You might know it from ‘The Angel Islington’ on a Monopoly Board. It is the only site on the board named after a building. 👼

I was in central London today and thought I should stop by one of the new Virtuals. Tourists by the thousands line up to be photographed with these red telephone boxes. It feels like London is flooded with tourists at the moment. I don’t remember it being this packed before Covid or maybe I just got used to having the city to myself during Covid. Maybe everyone is busy celebrating that they are still here? ☎️

Today, you were a Gunner. I took you to Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club. I didn’t realise they were playing a game later on until I notices all the food stores that were set up in people’s front gardens. Arsenal ended up losing when they missed some penalty kicks. 🥅

A visit to Victoria Station in London for you. I used to travel through here every day to get my son to school when he was little. There’s a plaque in here from my home state, Victoria, in case I’m homesick. 🚂
