This Cache can be collected as
an individual multi cache or as part of the circular Wellow Wood
Nature trail series. While the walk is very pleasant it can also
get very muddy after rain so walking boots or even Wellingtons are
recommended. And don’t forget to have a big breakfast
(see
GC1XTYN).
Quite interesting facts:
Wellow Park is a designated Site of Special Scientific
Interest, which bestows protection by Natural England, and so
remains a living link with the landscape of a thousand years
ago.
Next Cache:
After finding the cache, continue along the footpath
(Approx 0.3 mile) to the next cache. In this section of the path
avoid the mud if you can! Unfortunately at the next forestry
commission barrier this has become a bit of a fly tipping site over
the years. I just can’t understand how any human being can
lack the decency of taking rubbish to a licensed tip and decide
it’s better to dump it in the country side instead. String
them up by the B***S that’s what I say. It’s at this
point I remind cachers of the “Cache in Trash out”
slogan, I know it looks like a losing battle but if every Geocacher
took a bit of rubbish away in their back pack then…. Ok, so
you can’t get an old fridge or sofa in your back pack, I
know. OK let’s continue on and concentrate on finding another
cache. This is a traditional cache on the edge of the wood. Watch
out for the prickly blackberry thorns but should be an easy find
now you are in my mind set!
