This Cache can be collected as
an individual Multi cache or as part of the circular Wellow Wood
Nature trail series. While the walk is very pleasant it can also
get very muddy after rain so walking boots or even Wellingtons are
recommended. And don’t forget to have a big breakfast
(see
GC1XTYN).
Quite interesting facts:
This Site of Special Scientific Interest is Wellow Park,
notified in 1972; the reason for designation is that it is
‘the largest remaining example of ash-wych elm woodland in
Nottinghamshire, and is representative of semi-natural woodland
developed on somewhat base-rich clays in the North
Midlands’.
Next Cache:
After finding the cache a short walk (Approx420ft) out of
the wood and you can start to look for the next hide. This is a
Multi cache hiding somewhere close. Collect the co-ordinates to
find the actual cache and don’t forget your puzzle (6th
letter). The field on the right was planted with maze when the
cache was hidden, what a hiding place that would be, but
don’t worry it’s not in the field. Continue on towards
the road (Approx 250ft) you will see a large green fibreglass
junction housing on your right. When you reach the road take a
right turn.
