This cache has been archived.

IgnotusPeverell: Greetings. I'm IgnotusPeverell, one of the volunteer reviewers for geocaches submitted to Geocaching.com.

I can't find any recent responses from the Cache Owner about maintaining this cache which makes it appear they are either unwilling or unable to maintain this geocache. Cache maintenance includes: replacing broken or missing containers, replacing full or wet logs, updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing the needs maintenance attributes, enabling the listing, and more. Check out all of a geocache owner's responsibilities here. This cache is being archived, and removed from the active cache listings.

"If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance, it will not be unarchived."

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

Along the scenic Carlsbad Riverwalk The cache coordinates have changed from the original to:N32 25.356, W104 13.353. The scenic Carlsbad River Walk is the attraction. The cache is now across the road and about 350 feet from the original. The original cache was destroyed by city crews.

Eddy County

This cache is part of the New Mexico Challenge. One cache is hidden in each of New Mexico's 33 counties.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it is to find and log all 33 caches with a photo of yourself at the cache site.

The cache is located in a high muggle area, there are walkers along the Riverwalk most times of the day. It is a poplular area to stop and enjoy the view so you should be able to fake it. The cache is an easy cache with a parking area just a few hundred feet away and a sidewalk leading to very near it. Probably NOT accessable by wheelchair, however.

Carlsbad is a popular tourist and retirement area, the last time I counted there were 26 publicly maintained parks scattered throughout the city. The "Beach Area" is the largest most popular park located along the historic Pecos River with over 4 miles of sidewalk for public use.
