Cibola
County
This cache is part of the New Mexico Challenge. One cache is hidden in each
of New Mexico's 33
counties.
Your mission, should you decide to accept it is
to find and log all 33 caches with a
photo of yourself at the cache site.
Cibola County like much of New Mexico
is a land of great diversity. From tall mountains to deserts to
lava flows there is much to see here. Give your self plenty of time
as you head out for this cache. This area is rich in caches so it
will not be a one cache day. The cache is hidden near El Calderon,
just to the east is the historic site of El Morro.
The road in looks like it could be muddy after a lot of rain, but
we made it in a mini van the day after a light snow. There is one
fork near the start that is private, but it is well marked. The
cache is near the road so you don't need to hike a lot. For those
who like to hike, you can park near the pavement and walk in.
For more information on this area see Zuni Kid's article at

Look at the picture so you know what we want the verification
picture to look like. (Of course you should be in the shot not us.)
The spot we took this from was just south of the cache. The cache
hide spot is in the picture. Please cover completely since it is
near the road. The container is a fair sized lock-n-lock, and has
an FTF pin inside.
Good hunting.
