Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of caches set around the border of the parish of Northill, Bedfordshire

At each point where a road breaks through the boundary to enter the parish a cache has been placed. In the log book for each of these caches there is a piece of information which can be used to locate a bonus cache: The Interior.

Northill parish has two websites: one for the Parish Council and a Community Information Web Site. The parish is home to the Ickwell May Day festivities which have been taking place on the green in Ickwell since at least 1565.

The full list of caches in this series is below.

We hope you enjoy this series and get a feeling for the varied nature of this parish.

The A1 is often known as the Great North Road at various points along its journey from London to Edinburgh. Here it enters/leaves the parish at the roundabout by the supermarket. You could easily drive past this cache many times without realising you are travelling over a bridge for a stream/ditch. When we placed the cache, there was a horse actually standing in the (not very wet) ditch, munching some of the vegetation.
