Geocache Description:

This is part of a series of caches set around the border of the parish of Northill, Bedfordshire

At each point where a road breaks through the boundary to enter the parish a cache has been placed. In the log book for each of these caches there is a piece of information which can be used to locate a bonus cache: The Interior.

Northill parish has two websites: one for the Parish Council and a Community Information Web Site. The parish is home to the Ickwell May Day festivities which have been taking place on the green in Ickwell since at least 1565.

The full list of caches in this series is below.

We hope you enjoy this series and get a feeling for the varied nature of this parish.

This cache is associated with a point where the parish boundary crosses Vinegar Hill which runs from Upper Caldecote up to Sandy. For some reason probably lost in the sands of time, the boundary runs along the eastern side of the road between here and Upper Caldecote and crosses the road just north of where the cache is hidden before continuing up the western side of the road. Any suggestions why it might do this are very welcome in your logs.
