Geocache Description:

An easy walk from the promenade.

This cache will provide you with a Civilisation and a numerical value for that Civilisation.
By visiting and collecting the information from the other traditional caches in the series will enable you to help Indiana colwyn Jones & Fantasyraider find the Lost Key Room and then hopefully The Lost & Locked Ark!

The full list of the caches you need to visit can be found on: The Lost Key Room - GC18R87.

Please bring your own pen to sign the log, you aint got a pen? you aint a cacher!

The modern houses either side of this dingley dell have only been built in recent years.
A large private school for girls used to be here called: Penrhos College which was demolished in the very late 1990's.
During the second world war, Penrhos College and the buildings of the other private school in town, Rydal School, were commandeered by the Food Ministry.
Yes, the ration scheme for the WHOLE of Great Britain was administered from Colwyn Bay during the second world war.
Before Penrhos was a college, it used to a hotel in the 1890s specialising in hydro-therapy and what not, for poorly rich people from north-west England to come and rest and get better.

***Congratulations to Caneou for being FTF on 15/4/2008.***

On a freezing cold but sunny morning in January 2010, Scubapingu led a bunch of crazy cachers to attempt the Post Christmas cracker walk from Llandudno to Abergele and bagged 33 caches.
(She proclaimed it was 14 miles ... who was she kidding... it was nearer to 20 miles!)
A little over nine months later the count has gone up to 45 caches
(Who put them all there I hear you cry?)
I like to think of this little walk as 'THE CRAZY COASTAL CHALLENGE' (TCCC)
Could you do it?
Would you want to?
