Fleet Bay from Mossyard Shore
The Fleet Valley is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful areas
in the South of Scotland yet it is often bypassed by tourists who
trundle along the A75 to Stranraer and Cairnryan bound for Northern
Ireland. This series of four caches will take you to locations
which the local people have recently voted as being the best places
to admire the views and experience the wildlife of the area.

Murray Usher Memorial Stone at the Viewpoint
Knocktinkle Hill viewpoint offers panoramic views over the upper
Fleet Valley towards Cairnsmore of Fleet. You can easily see why
this location is so popular - on a clear day the views are quite
spectacular so don't forget your camera.
Parking is adjacent, so you can cache and dash if views aren't
your thing or it's poor visibility. Be warned that despite its
remote location this new viewpoint can be busy so stealth may be
required.
You are looking for a 35mm film canister - but look carefully,
you will not need to move any large stones, only a very small
one!
