Geocache Description:

Seattle-Köln Exchange Multicache

This multicache is a special exchange cache between Köln/Cologne and Seattle. In order to find the cache, two geocachers (one from each city) have to work as a team. You will need to find a helpful geocacher in the other city who will do their cache at the same time as you and is willing to share their information with you.

The cache itself consists of 3 stages (the last stage is the final container with the logbook).

Stage 1 (Virtual): The coordinates of the first stage are at the top of this listing. Here, you will find information about the second stage in Cologne. Please read the sign and note two years A and B (in order).

Compute the Cologne numbers as follows: (A - 96) / 3 and (B - 179) / 6

In order to calculate the coordinates of the next two stages in Seattle, you need information which is found in Cologne.

Stage 2 (Physical): This stage is located at:

N 47° 37.(first number at stage 1 in Cologne)
W 122° 18.(second number at stage 1 in Cologne)

At these coordinates you will the required information to find the cache in Cologne.

Stage 3 (Final): The Seattle cache container is located at:

N 47° 38.(first number at stage 2 in Cologne)
W 122° 17.(second number at stage 2 in Cologne)
