-

Vodice is a settlement with around 1,750 inhabitants on the outskirts of the Ljubljana Basin. It lies along the Gorenjska motorway Ljubljana - Podtabor. Although many people know it mainly for its resorts or as a stopover on the way to Gorenjska, it hides numerous stories and natural beauties. Vodice is therefore an ideal spot for someone looking for a peaceful rural environment with a rich tradition, just a stone's throw from Ljubljana.
History and cultural heritage
- Church of St. Margaret: The parish church in the center of Vodice was first mentioned around 1118. Today's appearance is the result of renovation after the great Ljubljana earthquake in 1895.
- Jernej Kopitar: One of the most important Slovenian linguists and a close associate of Vuk Karadžić was born in nearby Repnje.
- Vodice's Johanca: One of the more unusual stories from the beginning of the 20th century (1913). Ivana Jerovšek, known as Johanca, attracted crowds of believers to the town under the pretext of "miraculous bleedings" until she was exposed as a religious fraud.
- Šinkov Turn Castle: The village of Šinkov Turn is also located in the municipality, named after the castle built in the 13th century by the knight Schenk
Nature and recreation
- Water: The name of the town actually comes from the numerous water springs that were characteristic of this area in the past.
- Hiking: From Vodice or Skaručna, popular trails lead to Šmarna gora and Rašica. The church of St. Tilna in Repnje is also very popular, from where there is a beautiful view of the surroundings.
- Cycling: The route of the Franja cycling marathon traditionally runs through Vodice.
Points of interest in the area
- Skaručna: A village known for its baroque church of St. Lucia (where people with visual impairments once made pilgrimages) and its excellent cuisine.
- Repnje: Home to the convent of school sisters and a neo-Romanesque manor house.
Culinary symbol: Vodice pretzels
This is the most recognizable sign of the place. The tradition of baking pretzels dates back to 1700, when nuns in the Adergas monastery began baking them, and this craft was brought to Vodice in 1920 by the great-grandfather of the current owners of the Jagodic bakery. They are made from bread dough, i.e. flour, water, yeast and salt. The specialty of these pretzels is that they are also boiled before baking. This gives them a characteristic shine and greater durability. The hard and crispy pretzels are decorated with salt crystals, which also give them a characteristic taste. Fresh pretzels are kept in the air, as this way they are preserved for a very long time. As they age, they become harder and crispier, so we should not just bite into them, but should break them into pieces and let them melt in our mouths.
Pretzels, although shaped slightly differently and thicker, are known in the wider Alpine region, especially in Bavaria and Austria. They are a must at the Munich Oktoberfest and in beer bars. Their origins, like beer (they called it liquid bread), go back beyond the monastery walls.
The first one is said to have been baked in 610 by a monk in a monastery in southern France. He got the inspiration for the shape crossed in the middle from his brother monks who crossed their arms on their chests during prayer. Hence the name, as the Latin term brachiolum, meaning little arms, eventually changed to Brezel (and also our pretzel).

You know what bakers say - if it's round, it's a loaf, if it's flat, it's a bun, and if it's wrapped, it's a pretzel.
TASK
The treasure is a two-stage multi and is not located at the published coordinates.
At the published coordinates there is a automat where you can obtain the following data for calculating the final location:
1. How many times is a pretzel wrapped in the middle? The answer is value A
2. What number is the pretzel shaped like? The answer is value B
3. How many compartments are there in a pretzel machine? The answer is value C
Final coordinates:
N 46°11.A*B*C+A
E 014°29.(B+C)*A*C-2*C
I wish you a successful geohunt.
