Richard Galiano is a French jazz accordianist who essentially revolutionised the accordians place in jazz. He has recorded over 50 albums and has won a number of prestigious awards. His music style is a unique one, crossing the gap between jazz, tango and French musette.
Tango Pour Claude is a well-known composition that first appeared on his 1993 album Viaggio. This piece is a notable example of "New Musette" that have elements of jazz and tango. Tango Pour Claude is a tribute to the French singer and poet Claude Nougaro.
