About This Item

This bug will follow me on my cache finds. I have retired my first Personal Travel Bug RWW - The First 1000 Finds because it takes so darn long for it to load with all the cache logs attached. It had logged over 16959 miles following me from Cache to Cache.

#1038 - FTF!

FTF! It wasn't totally dark when I arrived, but it was when I found the cache. I've never been out here at night, but there is always a first. I'm surprised at how much noise the ducks make at night. Technically the park was closed since it closes at dusk.... but I didn't see the sign until I was on the way out.

I found the box easily, signed the log and headed back to the truck.

#1037 - FTF!

MR Gets the FTF on this one. We arrived at the same time, but he was the first to grab the box.

Overall it was a good lunch time cache hunt... 2 shared FTF's 🙂

#1036 - FTF!!!!

I arrived at the cache location hoping to score my first FTF since last October. As I pulled in I spotted MR Weinerdog already searching. Fortunatly for me he had transposed a couple digits on his GPSr and was searching in the wrong spot.

It took both of us a good 15 to 20 minutes to finally come up with this one. Where have I seen that container before?

Took a Maytag Dishwasher, Left a 47" Plasma HDTV.... Not...

A quick find after doing the nearby Temple of Quack. I almost had my hand on it when one in the group shouted out "Over here... in the rocks". That divirsion took about 3/4 of the group away from our original focus point. Well... we should have stayed where we were. The cache was found quickly.... we signed the log and headed off to the Red Robin to share stories with the group.

This would have been a great cache even without the Puzzle. Each waypoint has it's own puzzle to solve, but none anywhere as difficult as the Main Puzzle.

I was lucky enough to be the one that found WP1. The group solved the puzzle and we headed off to WP2. We send in the Blue Heron to grab this one. This one was solved two ways. One using the clues in the cache, and the second by looking at the Maps in the GPS. WP3 was a breeze and another different puzzle which led us to the final box. At first I thought the final was going to be one of those evil hides... but I discovered it right away.... a traditional ammobox in the woods.

Took a Cow that one of the other people in the party left, Left a Michigan Geocoin.

Great Cache JavaDuck.... but be carefull... it's still Duck Season!

I didn't get to meet up with everyone this morning as I had a previous engagement. I snuck out early from my morning meeting and joined the cache machine sometime between noon and 1PM. While I scored my lowest ever total for a cache machine.... it's not ALL about the numbers.
