The Clinton County Visitors and Convention Bureau has established a geotrail featuring over 30 of the 54 barn quilts in Clinton County. The Clinton County Bicentennial Barn Quilt Trail has a total of 54 barn quilt patterns located throughout Clinton County. Many thanks to the landowners and groups within Clinton County that have donated time and material to create the beautiful patterns for all to enjoy.
A commemorative trackable geocoin will be awarded to the first 250 who complete the Trail and fulfill the requirements. - See more at:

Please be respectful of each barn quilt location and the property owners. Some of the locations may have designated parking due to farming and/or other considerations.
ABSOLUTELY - NO NIGHT CACHING will be allowed.
The barn with the Farmers’ Delight Quilt Block, at 914 N Lincoln Street, is owned by Mervyn and Catherine (Roberts) Wisecup, and is the 53rd along the Clinton County Barn Quilt Trail. This block was chosen because of the many beautiful colors which represent the different farming seasons. The barn is one of the few that still exist within the city limits of Wilmington.
The barn was built in the late 1890’s or early 1900’s. At that time the property was owned by Jacob and Anna Burst. Mrs. Burst sold the property to J. Walter Gray in 1912. Mr. Gray owned the property until 1953 at which time it was sold to Orville and Ressie C. Davis. From that time until 2005 the property was sold several times and divided into building lots.
In 2005, Mervyn and Catherine Wisecup purchased the property with plans to restore the barn. Mervyn and Catherine were born in Clinton County, they left the community after graduating from high school but, after 40 years of living in the city and around the world, they decided to return to small rural home town life. Finding the property at 914 N Lincoln Street, provided what they were looking for as it had a little bit of county, but with the convenience of living in town.

You must record the codes on the caches and go to either The Hampton Inn (open 24/7) or the Visitors Bureau (M-F 10-5) in Wilmington to get your coin. You must find at least 30 caches to earn a coin.
