California residents: opting-out of the sale of your personal information
Because the term “sale” is defined broadly under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we want to be clear about the ways in which we share information that may be considered a sale under California’s privacy law.
If you are a California resident, please follow the directions below to opt-out.
- Go to Settings
- Choose Authorizations and check the “Do not share...” option to stop sharing with Geocaching Authorized Developers. Under CCPA, information we share with Geocaching Authorized Developers for the purpose of creating a broader ecosystem of geocaching applications and websites is considered a “sale” of personal information.
You can also fill out this webform and ask to opt-out of the sale of your information. Opt-out using the webform may take up to 15 days. Please note: the webform cannot be used to opt-out of cookies.
If you are not a California resident, you may use the directions above to access additional information about how we use your information and the choices available to you.
