Heartland Cacher: Greetings I'm Heartland Cacher, one of the volunteer reviewers for caches submitted to Geocaching.com.

I can't find any recent responses from the Cache Owner about maintaining this cache which makes it appear the Cache Owner is either unwilling or unable to maintain the cache. Cache maintenance includes listing maintenance including updating any changes to the text, updating coordinates, removing needs maintenance attributes and enabling the listing. The cache will be archived and removed from the active cache listings.

Geocache Description:


Rio Arriba County

This cache is part of the New Mexico Challenge. One cache is hidden in each of New Mexico's 33 counties.

Your mission, should you decide to accept it is to find and log all 33 caches with a photo of yourself at the cache site.

Located in the Santa Fe National Forest near HWY 84, between Espanola and (almost to) Abiquiu. Look for the sign "Santa Fe National Forest - Poshuouinge" near the highway. There is a wonderful archaeological site here and a benchmark at the top of the hill.

For "NM Challenge" credit post a photo at the rock information post near the parking lot. The cache is a camoed Army Ammo Box with assorted Swag, as well as a First-To-Find prize: a ready-to-go camoed "preform cache container" with a log book and pencil inside. Have fun!!!
