Tipo de enigma - acertijo de campo: Aunque es posible recopilar parte de la información necesaria para resolver este rompecabezas antes de salir de casa (toda la información requerida está disponible en Wikipedia, tanto en la versión en inglés como en español), definitivamente necesitarás recorrer la ruta para recopilar toda la información que necesitas para calcular las coordinadas finales.
Las coordenadas publicadas te llevan a una estatua de un personaje famoso que tiene una conexión con la ciudad de Granada. Caminando por el centro de la Avenida de la Constitución en dirección sureste durante 600 metros pasarás junto a otras 9 estatuas de personajes famosos relacionados con la ciudad. El fin de la ruta está indicado mediante un waypoint, aunque las estatuas se pueden visitar en cualquier orden.
En la imagen de abajo, a la derecha, están los nombres de estas 10 personas. A la izquierda hay 10 descripciones de estas personas, o sus estatuas. Para cada nombre de la derecha, dibuja una sola línea recta desde el punto de esa persona hasta un punto en el lado izquierdo junto a una descripción que coincida con esa persona/estatua. Cada descripción debe estar conectada a una sola persona y cada persona debe estar conectada a una sola descripción.
Cuando se completen las conexiones, las líneas se cruzarán con 10 números en el medio de la imagen. Las coordenadas del cache son N37 AB.CDE W003 FG.HIJ donde las A, B, C, D y E son los cinco números rojos sólidos intersecados por las líneas, leyendo de arriba a abajo, y las F, G, H, I y J son los cinco números delineados en azul intersecados por las líneas, leyendo de arriba a abajo.
Ten en cuenta que la imagen a continuación contiene una versión abreviada de las 10 descripciones. Las descripciones completas son:
- Si todas estas personas siguieran vivas hoy, esta persona sería la segunda más vieja.

Interés Turístico:
Este es un paseo fácil y agradable por la Avenida de la Constitución con una bonita vista del barrio del Albaicín en el extremo sureste del paseo. También podrías aprender un poco sobre la historia de algunas personas interesantes asociadas con Granada.
Información general no requerida para resolver el enigma:
Este cache rinde homenaje a uno de los primeros caches mystery (ahora archivado) que encontré cuando comencé con el geocaching. También fue uno de mis primeros DNFs (a pesar de que la dificultad fue solo 1,5; luego encontré cuando tenía más experiencia en mi haber). Aunque este rompecabezas utiliza las mismas 10 estatuas que el cache original, en plan "Spinal Tap" total, rinde homenaje a 11 granadinos famosos.
Cuando comencé con el geocaching, había muchos caches mystery ingeniosos en Granada, junto con muchos contenedores con camuflajes originales. Estos caches me sorprendieron, supusieron verdaderos desafíos y su resolución fue muy gratificante (aunque a veces necesitaba varios meses para resolver los enigmas). Ello hizo que me enganchara al geocaching. Lamentablemente, la mayoría de los propietarios de estos geocaches se han retirado del juego y la mayoría de sus caches ahora están archivados. La serie Granada Loves Puzzles (GLP) es mi intento de crear nuevos caches mystery en Granada del estilo que a mí más me gusta buscar.

Puzzle Type - Field Puzzle: Although it is possible to gather some of the information needed to solve this puzzle before you leave home (all of the information required is available in Wikipedia in both the English and Spanish versions), you will definitely need to walk the route to gather all of the information you need to derive the final coordinates.
The posted coordinates take you to a statue of a famous person who has a connection to the city of Granada. Walking along the middle of Avenida de la Constitución in a south easterly direction for 600 metres you will pass a further 9 statues of famous people with links to the city. The end of the route is indicated by a waypoint, although the statues can be visited in any order.
In the image below, on the right, are the names of these 10 people. On the left are 10 descriptions of these people, or their statues. For each name on the right, draw a single straight line from that person’s dot to a dot on the left side next to a description that matches that person/statue. Each description must be connected to only one person and each person connected to only one description.
When the connections are complete, the lines will intersect 10 numbers in the middle of the image. The cache coordinates are N37 AB.CDE W003 FG.HIJ where the A, B, C, D and E are the five solid red numbers intersected by the lines, reading from top to bottom, and F, G, H, I and J are the five blue outlined numbers intersected by the lines, reading from top to bottom.
Note that the image below contains an abbreviated version of the 10 descriptions. The complete descriptions are as follows:
- If all of these people were still alive today, this person would be the second oldest.
- In some sense, this is the smallest statue. However, in another sense, it is also the largest.
- This person is a man.
- The statue of this person is holding a book.
- For a brief time, this person was effectively the ruler of France.

It might be helpful to have a printed copy of this image when solving the puzzle (black and white is sufficiente).

Please be discrete when looking for, taking, and replacing the container as, depending on the time of the day, GZ can have many muggles walking past. You will need to bring your own pen/pencil.
Tourist Interest:
This is an easy, pleasant walk along Avenida de la Constitución with a nice view looking up at the Albaicín district at the south-eastern end of the walk. You may also learn a little about the history of some interesting people associated with Granada.
Background information not required to solve the puzzle:
This cache pays homage to one of the first mystery caches (now archived) I found when I first started geocaching. It was also one of my first DNFs (despite the difficulty being only 1.5 – later found with more experience under my belt). Although this puzzle uses the same 10 statues as the original cache, in full Spinal Tap mode, this cache goes up to eleven , paying homage to 11 famous Granadinos.
When I first started geocaching, there were many ingenious puzzle caches in Granada, along with many containers with inventive camouflage. They were surprising, challenging and satisfying (despite the fact that sometimes I needed many months to solve some of the puzzles), and are what got me hooked on geocaching. Sadly, most of the owners of these geocaches have retired from the game and most of their caches are now archived. The Granada Loves Puzzles (GLP) series is my attempt to create some new puzzle caches in Granada in the style that I most enjoy finding.
