Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to ♞♘ A Magical Knight's Tour ♘♞ New South Wales, Australia - 1.22 miles  Visit Log

Upon learning we were embarking on ♞♘ A Magical Knight's Tour ♘♞, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver immediately protested. "Magic?" it scoffed. "My credentials only cover verifiable artefacts and logical deduction! This assignment requires a chainmail suit and perhaps a slightly less rational mindset!"
GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver insisted that the initial coordinates (the puzzle) were deliberately obfuscating and far too reliant on L-shaped logic. It spent several hours in my car, attempting to apply the principles of cataloguing ancient weaponry to a chessboard, concluding that the entire puzzle was an elaborate hoax designed by a rogue sorcerer.
"♞♘ A Magical Knight's Tour ♘♞, is a mathematical problem, not a whimsical journey!" it grumbled, demanding that I check the metadata for any hidden spells.
Despite its rigid adherence to reality, we successfully cracked the code and found the physical cache. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver grudgingly admitted that finding the container was "an acceptable conclusion to a highly illogical process." It is now safely back in the car, reviewing the chess rules and preparing a scathing peer-review paper titled: The Unwarranted Mysticism of 64 Squares.

Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to 😍 THE LARGE SWAG CACHE 😍 New South Wales, Australia - 3.92 miles  Visit Log

Upon finding 😍 THE LARGE SWAG CACHE 😍, my companion GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver nearly fainted from pure, unadulterated container envy.
"It's Big!" it exclaimed, comparing itself quite unfavorably to the sheer volume of goodies inside. "I knew this was a Traditional cache, but I thought 'Traditional' meant normal size, not 'store your entire life savings' size!"
It then spent a good five minutes rifling through the SWAG—the trinkets, the little plastic animals—trying to decide if it could somehow trade itself for something bigger and shinier. I had to intervene and remind it that it is a priceless piece of personal trackable history, not just some random piece of loot.
We resisted the urge to upgrade our traveling status to "pirate" and sailed off with nothing but our signatures and GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver securely tucked away, now slightly humbled by the massive container it just visited.

Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to The Human Sundial New South Wales, Australia - 1.49 miles  Visit Log

GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver demanded we stop the car immediately! Upon arriving at The Human Sundial, it promptly jumped out and declared, "Aha! A mystery involving time, geometry, and a distinct lack of physical evidence! This is precisely the kind of case I was designed for!"
It spent several minutes standing in the sun, trying to figure out its own shadow and calculate the precise angle of the Earth's axis, occasionally squinting up at the clouds. I tried to explain that as a Virtual Cache, the actual 'find' was the experience and the information, but it was insistent: "Nonsense! A proper museum artefact must be catalogued! Where is the pedestal? Where is the velvet rope?"
We had to settle for a quick calculation and a photograph. The Tag ultimately concluded that the only true mystery was why a museum-worthy exhibit had no physical logbook. It is now safely back in the car, contemplating the philosophical complexities of time measurement and digital logging.

Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to CAPA New South Wales, Australia - 22.53 miles  Visit Log

My esteemed critic, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver insisted we pay a visit to CAPA aka Creative and Performing Arts. It was convinced a cache with such a title would contain a priceless, undiscovered work of art.
After a thorough search, we found the container. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver, immediately pulled out its invisible monocle and began its review: "Hmm. The hide is a masterwork of traditional misdirection, a solid performance in the Creative Arts category. The camo, however, is a little avant-garde—perhaps a bold statement on the ephemeral nature of caching itself?"
When I reminded it that the cache was for finding, not judging, it simply sniffed. "Nonsense! Every find is a critique! I was hoping for more dramatic flair, perhaps a chorus line of tiny log-rollers, or a small orchestral arrangement accompanying the opening!"
Having delivered its performance review, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver, has now been returned to my car, where it is reportedly composing an interpretive dance based on the difficulty rating.
    Crazy trackable!

Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to English New South Wales, Australia - .11 miles  Visit Log

GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver, was immediately suspicious of this cache. "English?" it scoffed. "A subject riddled with inconsistencies, silent letters, and a terrifying array of comma splices? We must investigate the structural integrity of this Traditional container immediately!"
As we searched, it complained bitterly about the lack of standardized rules. "I prefer the certainty of ancient museum catalogues! Why is 'through' spelled like that? It's a grammatical mystery that has stumped experts for centuries!"
The Tag did, however, pause to admire the descriptive language in the logbook (my signature was particularly evocative, naturally). It conceded that while it detests the dull parts—the grammar, the conjugations, the endless reports—it respects the art of creative writing. "Ah, the narrative of the find!" it declared. "That is a story worth cataloguing!"
GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver now back in the car, is busy writing a fictional, suspenseful novella about the hiding spot, titled: The Passive Voice Strikes Back.

Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Anyone For Tennis? New South Wales, Australia - 3.31 miles  Visit Log

Upon arriving at the location for Anyone For Tennis?, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver immediately took charge. "Observe the surroundings," it commanded. "This isn't just about sport; this is about etiquette, intrigue, and perhaps a missing championship trophy!"
It insisted on searching the area with the meticulousness of a detective investigating a stolen grand slam title. It examined the texture of the soil for evidence of clay court damage, checked the hedges for hidden paparazzi, and critiqued my choice of footwear (apparently, my sneakers lacked the necessary vintage high-society charm).
When we finally uncovered the Traditional cache, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver seemed mildly disappointed. "It's merely a container," it sighed. "Where is the dramatic third-set tie-break? Where is the disgruntled umpire? This is hardly a mystery worthy of my investigative talents!"
I had to explain that sometimes, a great geocache is just a simple, well-placed find. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver is now back in the car, sulking slightly and insisting we look for a cache with a higher ratio of drama and missing artefacts.

Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Birds of Colour New South Wales, Australia - 6.91 miles  Visit Log

GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver was instantly perplexed by this assignment. Birds of Colour multi-stage" it muttered. "This isn't a mystery, it's a poorly organized ornithological scavenger hunt!"
It insisted on treating every stage clue as a cryptic message, demanding to know the taxonomy and precise Pantone shade of every bird we encountered. "Look at that iridescent feather," it declared at Stage 1, "It is clearly a distraction! A true museum piece would be labelled in muted grey and stored under UV-proof glass!"
Iridescent feathers, I thought, but there are only three birds, blue, green and orange.
GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver complained that the vibrant colours were highly un-detective-like and entirely too distracting for proper calculation. It was convinced the final coordinates were not derived from a simple mathematical formula, but were actually encoded in the song of a particularly flamboyant wren.
After successfully deciphering all the clues, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver conceded that the final container was a satisfactory conclusion, but it firmly stated that the entire experience was "far too cheerful." It is now safely back in my car, reviewing its notes and attempting to prove that the whole cache was just an elaborate performance art piece designed to confuse serious museum officials.
    A beautifully colourful adventure!

Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to Abandoned! Mittagong Maltings New South Wales, Australia - .79 miles  Visit Log

My travel companion GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver joined me on a less than spooky but historically fascinating visit to the Abandoned! Mittagong Maltings.
As we approached the cache, the trackable started looking nervously over its shoulder. It whispered, "Are you sure nobody is brewing here anymore? Because this place has serious 'ghostly grain' vibes." I had to remind it that this kind of abandoned atmosphere is what makes a great geocache!
It insisted we search extra carefully, as it didn't want to get stuck in the Maltings, slowly decomposing like an old sack of forgotten barley. "I'm a traveller, not a historical relic!" it declared dramatically.
Thankfully, the container was secure and easy to spot. After a quick signature, we made our less than speedy exit. GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver flew into my car at lightning speed, resisting the urge to find any spectral hops. We're off to find a location with a little more life (or at least a decent, non-spectral beer).

Visited 12/30/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to SideTracked - Mittagong New South Wales, Australia - 21.14 miles  Visit Log

My investigative partner, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver, was extremely agitated by this stop. "SideTracked?" it exclaimed. "As an official artefact investigator, I am meant to follow the main line of inquiry! This deviation is highly irregular and frankly, unprofessional!"
It spent the entire hunt grumbling that we should be focusing on a primary historical site, not some mere railway-adjacent distraction in Mittagong. "This isn't a puzzle," it declared, "it's a blatant waste of high-value transport time! I refuse to have 'gotten sidetracked' added to my official travel history!"
When we finally located the Traditional container, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver inspected it with palpable disdain. It begrudgingly signed the log, but only after noting in the margins that the cache's location was "a prime example of poor curatorial planning and a missed opportunity for a more centrally located exhibit."
The Tag is now safely back in the car, trying to recalculate our route to ensure we immediately get back on the "main track" of geocaching history.

Visited 12/15/2025 Throsbyonchurch took it to SideTracked - Kembla Grange New South Wales, Australia - 694.91 miles  Visit Log

    Welcome to New South Wales

The GEOLYMPIX Silver Geocoin made a triumphant, yet slightly melancholic, visit to SideTracked – Kembla Grange. We gave the hunt our Olympic best – not really – it was dark, but alas, the elusive cache remains undefeated in this round. It was a tough field! This little silver medal GEOLYMPIX Silver Geocoin is currently sulking in my car, dreaming of the day it helps achieve a Gold Medal Find. SideTracked? More like Defeated by the side track! Better luck next time, champ.
