Geo Scouts - Star Mystery Cache

• Find and log Geo-Scouts First Class
• Earn 6 merit badges, which must include Citizenship in the Community Merit Badge Cache .
  Please list dates of when you found them (or placed them).
• While a "Geo-Scout", take part in service project (aka CITO). The CITO event must of had been attended after you originally found Geo Scouts Tiger.
  (I have been asked by some cachers if an alternative can be used in place of a CITO, Unfortunately there is no way I can confirm this and as the owner of the cache I need to be able to verify if the requirement was completed. So a CITO must of been attended to complete this cache. Thank You)

THE SERIES
Our family has been involved in Scouting since 1997. This series is a mix of Scouting and Caching.
You MUST earn each rank in order, so that is why all of the other caches in the series will be Mystery caches.
The series will be open to all Premier Members only. This will reflect the “Dues” the Scouts contribute to the program.
You will need to gather the "Advancement Clue" in the cache to help solve the next one and so on.
Look inside the cover of the log book for the Advancement Clue for the next cache. As you progress, just like in scouting, the ranks will get more involved to earn.
We will not be focusing on all of the BSA requirements for the caches, BUT we will be focusing on some of them to "EARN" your
GEO-RANK.

REQUIREMENTS for BSA STAR

1. Be active in your troop and patrol for at least 4 months as a First Class Scout.
2. Demonstrate scout spirit by living the Scout Oath (Promise) and Scout Law in your everyday life.
3. Earn 6 merit badges, including 4 from the required list for Eagle.
4. While a First Class Scout, take part in service projects totaling at least 6 hours of work. These projects must be approved by your Scoutmaster.
5. While a First Class Scout, serve actively 4 months in one or more of the following positions of responsibility (or carry out a Scoutmaster-assigned leadership project to help the troop):
   Boy Scout troop Leadership Positions.
   Patrol leader,
   Assistant senior patrol leader,
   Senior patrol leader,
   Troop guide,
   Order of the Arrow troop representative,
   Den chief,
   Scribe,
   Librarian,
   Historian,
   Quartermaster,
   Bugler,
   Junior assistant Scoutmaster,
   Chaplain aide, or
   Instructor.
   
6. Take part in a Scoutmaster conference
7. Complete your board of review.
