THE SOLUTION

N = 4 2 (D-F+E) (B*B) (D+C+F) (D-C) (AE-F)

W = 7 1 (A+B) (D+E+F) (C+E) (D-C+B) (E*E)

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.

As you probably of guessed by now the Advancement Codes are the dates my son earned that rank. He had a goal date to accomplish each rank, This rank he almost did not meet. But after talking with the Scoutmaster they came up with a plan to accomplish my sons goal. My son was very happy because of this.

CACHE LOGGING REQUIREMENTS

I try to keep this series as winter friendly as possible.

To log this cache you will need to complete the following requirements first.

Please add the dates that you found the nessessary caches.
(or the date that you had it published)

(I do not have control of caches that I do not own. Therefore if a cache that is required is "Temporarily Disabled" for a total of seven [7] days or more please let me know and I will not let that requirement stop you from proceeding. I do however wish you do end up finding that cache because the caches I have selected of these requirements are worth finding.)

  1. Find "GEO-SCOUTS - TENDERFOOT" and get the advancement code to solve the coordinates for this cache. AB-CD-EF
  2. To prove that you can still use a compass (aka: primitive GPSr) find two of the following caches.
  3. To prove that you have been an active member attend a total of at least 3 (three) events since 03-04-08. (The beginning of Geo-Scouts/The Merit Badge Challenge)
  4. (Due to new guidlines this is just a request)
    To prove that you understand the importance of eating right you will need to take a picture of "your" Food Pyramid.
    - See my picture as an example.
    - Post your picture with your "Found It" log.

  5. To prove you are willing to take care of our caching community attend a CITO Event OR find an EARTH cache after 03-04-08 (The beginning of Geo-Scouts/The Merit Badge Challenge).

NOTE: Logging your own Events and or CITO's is acceptable.
You are NOT required to host an Event or CITO.

(Don't forget to get the Advancement code for FIRST CLASS)

GEO-SCOUT REQUIREMENTS

Now that we are advancing higher in the ranks we will be focusing on more of the requirements. Second Class and First Class ranks are vital in the building of a Good Geo-Scout, here you will learn and be tested on the basic skills to become a True Geo-Scout.
Sir Robert Baden-Powell (the one responsible for the creation of the Scouting Movement in 1907) refers to a Scout not being a true Scout until he is First Class.

THE SERIES

Our family has been involved in Scouting since 1997. This series is a mix of Scouting and Caching.
You MUST earn each rank in order, so that is why all of the other caches in the series will be Mystery caches.
The series will be open to all Premier Members only. This will reflect the “Dues” the Scouts contribute to the program.
You will need to gather the "Advancement Clue" in the cache to help solve the next one and so on.
Look inside the cover of the log book for the Advancement Clue for the next cache. As you progress, just like in scouting, the ranks will get more involved to earn.
We will not be focusing on all of the BSA requirements for the caches, BUT we will be focusing on some of them to "EARN" your GEO-RANK.
