THE WAYPOINTS

Coordinates for Board of Review Skill Question #1
Coordinates for Board of Review Skill Question #2

As of 06-13-2012 are posted on the cache page.

When at the two above waypoints there will be a multiple choice test.
If answered correctly you then may proceed to the final.
If you are a good "outdoorsman" you should pass the Board of Review with no problem. (You might want to at least study a little to be sure.)

Do KNOT hit the trail without Being Prepared.

If you happen to need extra time and you want to check your results for the final you can check your answers for the final on Geochecker.com.

CACHE LOGGING REQUIREMENTS
At those waypoints you will have two multiple choice questions based on some common outdoor skills that as a Webelos Scout learns in Scouting.
If you get the right answers you will proceed directly to the Final. If you do not you may be visiting more then one area to find the final.

THE SERIES
Our family has been involved in Scouting since 1997. This series is a mix of Scouting and Caching.
You MUST earn each rank in order, so that is why all but Tiger will be Mystery caches.
The series will be open to all Premier Members only. This will reflect the “Dues” the Scouts contribute to the program.
You will need to gather the "Advancement Clue" in the cache to help solve the next one and so on.
Look inside the cover of the log book for the Advancement Clue for the next cache.
As you progress, just like in scouting, the ranks will get more involved to earn.
We will not be focusing on all of the BSA requirements for the caches, BUT we will be focusing on some of them to "EARN" your GEO-RANK.

THE RANKS

The reason for the two badges for Webelos is as follows:
If the Scout is still using the Cub Scout Uniform then they would use the diamond shaped badge.
If they are using the Boy Scout Uniform then they would use the Oval one.
Webelos is the transition time in Scouting.

REQUIREMENTS for BSA WEBELOS

Webelos dens are for boys who have completed third grade (or reached age 10). The Webelos den program is different from the Cub Scout den program. Everything in the Webelos Scout program is more challenging than what younger boys in the pack do. Webelos Scouts get to work on the 20 Webelos activity badges:

Physical Skills
Aquanaut - Athlete - Fitness - Sportsman
Mental Skills
Artist - Scholar - Showman - Traveler
Community
Citizen - Communicator - Family Member - Readyman
Technology
Craftsman - Engineer - Handyman - Scientist
Outdoor Activity
Forester - Geologist - Naturalist - Outdoorsman

Webelos Scouts work on requirements during their weekly den meetings. Once a boy learns a skill, he practices it at den meetings and at home on his own. His family helps him at home. Webelos Scouts bring the projects they do at home to the den meetings to show others, and to have the Webelos den leader approve their projects.

When a boy has done the requirements for an activity badge, the Webelos den leader or activity badge counselor, rather than a parent, approves most of the activity badges. It takes three activity badges, including Fitness and Citizen, to earn the Webelos badge.

Besides earning activity badges, Webelos Scouts can earn the compass points emblem. This emblem is awarded after a Webelos Scout has earned seven activity badges. For each four activity badges a Webelos Scout earns after that, he receives a compass point—east, west, north, and south.

If you would like any further information on Scouting please visit the National Scouting Site or e-mail 76-CJ7 "Your Cubmaster".

GEO-SCOUT REQUIREMENTS
As a Webelos Scout you are in the final stage to prepare yourself for the more challenging adventures ahead of you.
Do Knot hit the trail without being Prepared.
Instead of the leaders always guiding you, you will learn to help guide others. So to complete this Rank you must have some knowledge and know how to use it in the field.
