This Cache can be collected as
an individual Multi cache or as part of the circular Wellow Wood
Nature trail series. While the walk is very pleasant it can also
get very muddy after rain so walking boots or even Wellingtons are
recommended. And don’t forget to have a big breakfast
(see
GC1XTYN).
Quite interesting facts:
Over the last 200 years our precious Sherwood Forest
landscapes have been reduced and fragmented by commercial forestry
and agriculture, industrialisation and urban expansion. But all is
not lost! The Sherwood Forest Trust, the key charity
dedicated to ensuring the survival of Sherwood Forest, unites
everyone from government agencies to local authorities, landowners
and local communities in the common fight to save the unique
landscapes and culture of Sherwood Forest.
Next Cache:
All the mud and hard work behind you now, you can look
forward to a very present return leg, picking up a few caches along
the way of course. Continue along this path (Approx 0.4 miles) then
start to look for the final Multi cache on the route. Trees on
ether side of a well maintained grass footpath. There were cattle
grassing in the field to the right.
