Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Kickoff of the Clinton County Barn Quilt Geotrail. We will be meeting at Denver Williams park at 9:00 AM to get started with introductions and acknowledgements and a chance to talk about the trail and geocaching in general!

The Clinton County Visitors and Convention Bureau has established a geotrail featuring 32 of the 54 barn quilts in Clinton County. The Clinton County Bicentennial Barn Quilt Trail has a total of 54 barn quilt patterns located throughout Clinton County. Many thanks to the landowners and groups within Clinton County that have donated time and material to create the beautiful patterns for all to enjoy.

The geotrail will highlight 32 of these barn quilt patterns and take you on a special tour of the place we call home - Clinton County, OH.

At the end of our meet and greet kickoff - those attending will be able to start their journey to discover the Clinton County Barn Quilt Geotrail as the 32 featured locations will have permament geocaches that will be released on June 30 for the rest of the geocaching community. Each geocache will have a special code that you will need so that you can earn a commemorative geocoin that will be given to the first 250 geocachers that qualify.

We hope that everyone who visits the Clinton County area comes to see the joy and beauty that we as citizens have come to love.

The tally sheet is needed to earn your coin. Of the 54 barn quilts in Clinton County only 32 have caches. You must record the codes on the caches and go to either The Hampton Inn (open 24/7), the Visitors Bureau (M-F 10-5), or Books 'N' More (M-Th 10-5 / F 10-8 / Sat 10-5) in Wilmington to get your coin. You must find at least 30 caches to earn a coin.
