GeoFit: At home edition

Worried about staying in Geoshape while you’re stuck inside?

Well, have no fear! Our GeoFit program is here with a conditioning plan to keep you fast, strong, and limber—all from the comfort of your own living room.

Based on years of research and rigorous testing, our GeoFit program will give you the strength you need for success when you eventually venture back out in the field.

Follow along at home:

“AMMO CAN” CAT CURLS

Don’t have an ammo can just lying around? Well, did you know the average housecat is the same weight (probably) as an ammo can?

What you need: A cat.

How to do it: Find your furry friend, and hold them—gently—by your waist. Slowly bring your forearms up to chin level. You can break up your cat curls into sets of 10, 15, or 20.

Tip: Don’t have a cat? Substitute a small dog, or large guinea pig…okay, a gallon of milk works too!

TUPPERWARE TWISTS

We’ve all got some tupperware taking up space in our kitchen cabinets. Put yours to good use with tupperware twists!

What you need: Tupperware containers.

How to do it: Assemble your various tupperware containers. Pull the tops off each with all of your might. Put the tops back on, repeat.

Tip: For a competitive twist, try lining your tupperware up in a row. With a partner, start on either end and see who can get to the middle faster!

STEALTH SQUATS

The last thing you want to do is lose your stealthy edge. Ensure that you won’t be detected by muggles on your next outing by practicing these stealth squats.

What you need: An unsuspecting family member or roommate.

How to do it: Timing is key for this exercise! Ensure your family member is engaged in something (reading a book, etc). Place yourself behind them, and start squatting! See how many reps you can get in before they notice you.

Tip: To add a more realistic twist, place something that represents a geocache underneath your family member’s chair or couch. Try to retrieve and return this item on each squat without them noticing.

FTF HALLWAY SPRINTS

Trust us, there’s going to be a boom of new published caches and lots of cooped up geocachers itching for that FTF. Stay ahead of the game—and your fellow cachers—with these Hallway Sprints.

What you need: A hallway, piece of paper, and a pen.

How to do it: Place your paper and pen at one end of your hallway. Start from the opposite end of the hallway. Run as fast as you can down the hall (remember, safety first!) and sign the logbook. Repeat.

Tip: If you have downstairs neighbors, consider doing something nice for them after this exercise, especially if you’re a bit lead-footed!
