Have you ever wanted to visit Geocaching HQ but just couldn’t make it out to Seattle?

One Finnish geocacher has just the solution! With this adorable geocache, you’ll get a taste of HQ in Finland. Maybe you’ll even get to meet Signal the Frog®! Take a peek at our miniature Geocache of the Week, the HQ (GC8EQ56)!

The trek to the HQ starts a bit differently than the Seattle version. Instead of the urban city streets by the water, searchers take a path along a lush green forest. With a difficulty and terrain rating of 2/2, this cache is a walk in the park (literally)!

We recommend bringing along your geo-pals (or geo-pets) to share the enjoyment of the find.

Upon arrival, it’s hard to miss. Here’s a big hint: look for the giant yellow letters that spell “HQ,” and you found it! Now getting it unlocked is another matter…

Put your heads together to locate the code for the combination lock. If that doesn’t work, consider phoning a friend. With nearly 1,400 finds since its publication in 2019, there are many geocachers out there to ask for help!

Soon enough, the doors to the HQ open, revealing an exact replica of Geocaching HQ in Seattle! 😉 Take note of the small details added to the cache. Even the decor has meaning—each picture on the “wall” of the HQ represents a Finnish volunteer reviewer!
