CITO Season 2 Halftime Show

Geocachers have turned out and turned up the volume for this season of CITO! Since September 1, more than 7,000 geocachers have already attended a CITO Event.

1. GCAXDZ9—Let’s clean up together!! (World Clean Up Day)

Friday, September 20, was World Cleanup Day. What better way to participate than with a CITO?

Geocachers in the Netherlands came together to clean up their neighborhood and enjoy each other’s company.

2. GCAWVHE—CITO Torre Spaccata

Spirits were high at this Event in Italy as geocachers collected more than 350 glass bottles. Cheers (or “salute” in Italian) to them!

3. GCAW9MF—Clean Up South Brisbane Cemetery September

Down in Australia, geocachers teamed up with the Friends of South Brisbane Cemetery ‘Guardian Angels’ to clean headstones and clear brush at their local cemetery.

4. GCAE9Q6—CITO Safenwil 2024

This CITO made a splash as geocachers donned their waders to remove invasive plants in Switzerland. An annual event, some geocachers come back year after year to CITO and enjoy a meal together.

5. GCAX2PB—Lion’s Head CITO #13 ~ 11 September’24

Down in South Africa, geocachers took on a different sort of challenge to clean up hiking trails along the popular Lion’s Head peak in Table Rock National Park.

Spirits were high at this CITO at High Falls State Park! The Georgia Geocachers Association teamed up with park rangers to pick up litter at this lively Event.
