Halloween is the time of year when many people like to dress up as their favorite creepy creatures and set out into the night in search of tricks, treats, and fun. But did you know that even ghouls and ghosts like to geocache?

As the oldest night cache in the Czech Republic, this Multi-Cache is perfect for would-be witches and their black cat sidekicks.

But fear not! You won’t need a broomstick to get to this cache! Trust your friendly feline familiars to guide you on a hunt for a special nocturnal cache that’s sure to be a frightful yet delightful nighttime adventure.

Our ghost story begins long ago (2003) in the Kunratický les forest near Prague. Conveniently located near the Roztyly subway station, the first waypoint leads geocachers into the woods along a well-traveled path. Using a flashlight, look for reflective “cat eyes” to light your way through the gloom. As you follow the reflective markings, keep a sharp eye out for clues to find the coordinates to the next waypoint.

Don’t let the forest cast a spell on you! The sounds of the forest may seem louder (and scarier) in the dark. Keep your mind on the hunt and trust the cats and your flashlight to guide you to your final destination.

Finally, at GZ, you can enjoy the cleverly decorated cache container and the thematic SWAG hidden within. Sign your name in the spell book and trade a trackable or two. Now, the next challenge is getting back home…
