When I first saw this geocache, the thing that struck me was the incredible description! I didn’t understand any of it (I don’t speak Portuguese), but I could definitely see the time and effort that went into creating the story and images. From there, a quick look at the logs and the photos showed that this geocache was more than just a pretty description—the container itself is an elaborate puzzle box. Geocache owners that put this much effort into a geocache deserve to be recognized!

Geocaching Block Party 2015: The Final Episode
After years of celebrating all things Geocaching at HQ in Seattle, it’s time for a change. Join us this August to celebrate 15 Years of Geocaching at the last Block Party event.
Mark your ‘Will Attend’ now on the Geocaching Block Party 2015 geocache page. And while you’re there, make sure to mark your ‘Will Attend’ for the 2015 Geocaching International Film Festival, too.
And don’t forget: CITO weekend is April 25 and 26, so get ready to join thousands of geocachers as they clean up, plant trees or remove invasive species in local geocaching hot spots. Earn a special digital CITO souvenir for your Geocaching profile for attending a CITO Event April 25 or 26.
Das CITO-Wochenende ist schneller da, als Du denkst. Falls Du noch nicht davon gehört haben solltest: CITO steht für “Cache In Trash Out“. Es stellt den Versuch der Geocacher dar, unser Spielfeld (d. h. den gesamten Planeten) in einem sauberen Zustand zu erhalten. Am Wochenende 25. und 26. April treffen sich weltweit Geocacher und sammeln Müll auf, entfernen ins heimische Ökosystem eingeschleppte Arten, reparieren Wege und vieles mehr – und erhalten dafür ein schickes neues Souvenir.
Besorge Dir im Geocaching-Shop ein CITO-Event-Set und beginne jetzt mit der Planung Deines Events am CITO-Wochenende. Alle Events müssen mindestens zwei Wochen vor dem Event-Datum eingereicht werden – je früher, desto besser. Hier kannst Du mehr über CITO erfahren. Außerdem kannst Du Dir eine Liste der bereits in Deiner Umgebung stattfindenden CITO-Events ansehen.
