About This Item

This bug will follow me on my cache finds. I have retired my first Personal Travel Bug RWW - The First 1000 Finds because it takes so darn long for it to load with all the cache logs attached. It had logged over 16959 miles following me from Cache to Cache.

πŸ™‚ GC #1975

A quick find once I found a place to park the truck.

😟 DNF

Where do I start? As I approached the cache site in my truck, I almost kept on going but for some reason decided to stop anyway. I should have went with my instincts.

I thought I saw the cache based on the hints and logs, but as I was looking at it (and determining I was wrong... this wasn't the cache), a sheriff's deputy pulled up and stopped. He pointed at the nearby sign and told me I was trespassing. He then pointed out that the it was a federal offense to tamper with that green triangle shaped insect thing.

I tried to explain to him what I was doing, and even showed him the cache page but to make a long story short I spent a good.. no make that BAD 20 minutes in the back end of a sheriff's car... not something I want to repeat. The charge... Criminal Trespass in the second degree.

He ran my name and record and for some reason decided to let me go. It will be up to the county prosecutor to decide if charges will be filed.

Like I said, I should have stuck with my first instincts.

Lots of traffic on this road but found the cache quickly and moved on.

I havn't had an FTF on over two years, and today I score two :) Traded wooden nickels.

The coordinates seem to be a bit off. I found the cache 40 feet south of where the GPS was pointing. Fortunatly it's an easy find and can be seen from the road if you know what you're looking for.

πŸ™‚ GC #1972 - FTF

My first FTF in over two years! I had some cache maintenence to do "in the area". Ok, not really in the area but close enough.

Cache Maintenance
Yes, the cache is still there. Lots of downfall if you go the short way, do like I did and go around the lake.

Cache Maintenance

Yep, it's gone. I was going to replace it but then realized that this would be the third time I'd replaced it. It's time to let this one go and re-think a new hide for this location.

Whoops.... was heading for a cache on the OTHER side of the washout. I guess I'll have to go around.

Coordinates for this kept pointing me out into the middle of the river. Don't know if the washout has grown and washed away the cache or if the coordinates are just off.

Without a hint, I didn't spend a lot of time looking.

πŸ™‚ GC #1971 (EARTH-CACHE)

Been here many times. Stopped by while on an outing with my wife, so didn't get a chance to do any of the other neartby caches.

My wife absolutly refused to walk out on the bridge to take my Picture, so my pic is at the southern end of the bridge. (She apparently is also a lousy photographer as the picture totally sucks).

Email with the rest of the answers on the way.

Maintenance Visit!

They have closed the road to Spencer Island. Since the origial cache is missing, I have replaced it with a new box a short distance away, but in a location that is accessable.

Note the new parking location also.
