Geocache Description:

Second in the Ring Quest series

This is the second cache of Ring Quest, a twenty-cache series inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings.

For more information about this series, see the description for the first cache:
Ring Quest I: The Nine: Black Riders.

Ring Quest II: The Nine: Nazgûl

In Black Speech, The Nine were called “Nazgûl” (from nazg, meaning "ring", and gûl, meaning "wraith, spirit"). Described in The Lord of the Rings as Sauron's "most terrible servants," the Nazgûl were once great kings of men. They were given Rings of Power and took them without question. Subsequently, after the forging of the One Ring, The Nine became slaves of Sauron and later his chief lieutenants. After centuries, the effect of the rings left the kings spectral, invisible to all but Sauron and whoever wore the One Ring.

You are looking for a small black pill bottle. Be sure to note the coordinates printed on the log sheet which will take you to a nearby stone with information needed to find the One Ring.

Bonus Coordinate Information – The Mirror of Galadriel

The Mirror of Galadriel was a basin filled with water in which one could see visions of "things that were, and things that are, and things that yet may be," used by the Elf Galadriel, the Lady of Lórien. She invited Frodo Baggins to look into it when he stayed at Lothlórien.

At the coordinates printed on the log sheet in this cache, you’ll find a stone basin. Directly in front of it, ten feet south, lies a stone with the dates, 187C-19D6. Note the values of C and D.
