Exploring the ancient mysteries of past civilizations brings with it a natural curiosity. How did humanity function back then? More importantly, how did they geocache back then?
Throw on your best adventure hat, fire up your time machine, and don’t forget a pencil for this week’s Geocache of the Week: Red Brick (GCWJ29).

Located in Bueng Phra Ram Park, an ancient monastery in the historical city of Ayutthaya, exists a highly sought-after artifact: a mysterious red brick known to bring joy and good fortune to those cunning enough to find it.

Towers of brick pillars and domes cover the area, which is heavily trafficked by wandering tourists oblivious to the valuable treasure hidden nearby. This expedition is simple: get in and out without alarming anyone and secure the cache (and good fortune).

The coordinates bring you to a quieter area within the park. There are plenty of bricks, hiding spots, and tranquility in this little nook for you to search. High and low, the search begins brick-by-brick. Each one brings you closer to the find until it finally hits you… like a ton of bricks?

A deviously-small petling container reveals itself to you and thus with it, a well-earned smiley on your map. With over 1400 finds, this geocache continues to bring joy to those who find it; who knows, maybe you’re up next!
