Celebrate 25 Years of Geocaching with The GeoGuessr Challenge

We’re excited to announce a limited-time collaboration between Geocaching HQ and GeoGuessr in celebration of a major milestone—25 years of geocaching!

GeoGuessr is an interactive geography game that drops players into random locations around the world using Google Street View. Just like geocaching, players use navigation and deduction skills—aka geo-senses—to pinpoint the location. The closer the guess, the more points they earn. New Treasures coming soon!

Get ready—May is shaping up to be a memorable month for geocachers! We’re excited to celebrate Blue Switch Day, the 25th anniversary of geocaching, and the arrival of two new Treasure collections.

Two new collections, Classic trackables and Mystery books, will be available starting May 6 at 12:00 PM UTC. To start collecting Treasure from the Classic trackables collection, geocachers must first complete the Celebrating 25 years collection. Mach Dich bereit – der Mai wird ein denkwürdiger Monat für Geocacher! Wir freuen uns darauf, den Blue Switch Day, das 25jährige Jubiläum von Geocaching und zwei neue Treasure-Sammlungen zu feiern.

Zwei neue Sammlungen, klassische Trackables und Mystery-Bücher, werden ab 6. Mai um 14:00 Uhr MESZ verfügbar sein. Um das sammeln der Treasures aus der Sammlung der klassischen Trackables zu beginnen, müssen Geocacher zuerst die 25 Jahre feiern-Sammlung abschließen.
