Your little traveler joined me for a few finds today. We are out enjoying the fresh air and seeing some new sights. We found a cache Loud Static which was an interesting mystery cache.

Visited 3/24/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to PDHPE New South Wales, Australia - 1.16 miles  Visit Log

Time for some PDHPE - Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, one of my favourite subjects in school.

Visited 3/23/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to "Captain Deputy" New South Wales, Australia - 592.89 miles  Visit Log

Out enjoying some time caching. Got the ins on this mystery cache Captain Deputy not long after publication. A terrific puzzle on fire stations with the hide near a local fire station. I enjoyed the solve and the puzzle concept. Your little traveller has come with us.

Visited 3/18/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to Mount Ousley Rest Area Northbound New South Wales, Australia - 29.38 miles  Visit Log

    Mount Ousley Rest Area Northbound
Headed down to Wollongong for work and on my return stopped at the Mount Ousley rest are. Had a look to see if there were any geocaches here. There was one I could have a quick look for while having a quick driving break and to stretch my legs. A quick find of Mount Ousley Rest Area Northbound and it was back on the road home.

Visited 3/10/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to Mouse Trap New South Wales, Australia - 60.74 miles  Visit Log

    Mouse Trap
I arrived at Mouse Trap feeling like a very specific kind of test subject. Finding a cache hidden near a mouse laboratory adds a layer of irony that is hard to ignore—here I am, running through a maze of coordinates, hoping for a prize at the end, much like the residents of the nearby facility. I kept a sharp eye out for any giant wheels or suspiciously intelligent rodents plotting world domination, but the only thing I found was a brilliantly placed container. It’s a clever nod to the local 'industry,' and I’m happy to report that I navigated the trap without any major mishaps. I signed the logbook with the precision of a scientist and left the cheese (and the cache) exactly where I found it. A fantastic, thematic find that really added some flavour to my caching run today!

Visited 3/9/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to Acknowledgement of Country New South Wales, Australia - 645.53 miles  Visit Log

    Welcome to New South Wales

    Acknowledgement of Country
Having just arrived in Sydney, visiting Acknowledgement of Country felt like the most appropriate way to begin this leg of my journey. It’s easy to get caught up in the hustle of a major city or the excitement of a new set of coordinates, but this spot demands a moment of stillness. It serves as a vital reminder that the ground we walk on—and the places we hide our little treasures—has been cared for by the traditional custodians for tens of thousands of years. The hide was respectful and well-integrated, providing a thoughtful pause in the middle of my urban exploration. It’s a beautiful way to ground oneself in the history of the land before diving into the modern chaos of the harbor city. I signed the log with a deep sense of respect and appreciation for the welcome. A truly meaningful find.

Visited 3/8/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to Art of the Island: Hobart Gateway Tasmania, Australia - 31.32 miles  Visit Log

Art of the Island: Hobart Gateway
Nothing says 'Welcome to Tasmania' like standing in an airport arrivals area staring intensely at a wall. While everyone else was looking for their luggage, throsby was busy looking the ‘Art of the Island: Hobart Gateway‘ while I, GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin am trying to figure out if I can claim a tax deduction as a traveling exhibit. I’m officially the most cultured piece of trackable hardware in the 7000 postcode. Don't look at me too long, or I might start charging admission. The native animal artwork is average.
First stop: Hobart’s front door gave ‘GEOLYMPIX 2016 Geocoin - Silver‘ a grand entrance to the Apple Isle. I didn't wave at the locals, but I looked very dignified against the gateway.

Visited 3/8/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to The 'holy' top of town Tasmania, Australia - 11.05 miles  Visit Log

They say the view from The 'holy' top of town is to die for, and given the cemetery location, that feels like a very literal assessment. I spent a few minutes fondling the handrail—which is a great way to make mourning families think you’re checking for structural integrity or perhaps performing a low-budget exorcism. The river view is spectacular, and the cache is safely in hand. Heavenly indeed!

Visited 3/8/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to Dover for sure! Once was a Pub Tasmania, Australia - 46 miles  Visit Log

Dover for sure! Once was a Pub
I pulled up to Dover for sure! Once was a Pub with a mighty thirst, only to realize the tap has been dry for quite some time. It’s a cruel joke to play on a weary traveller, but the waterfront scenery acted as a decent chaser. No beer, but a very satisfying find in a spot that clearly has some stories to tell. I’ll drink a glass of water in its honour.

Visited 3/8/2026 Throsbyonchurch took it to Dover for sure! The Old Kiln Tasmania, Australia - 19.76 miles  Visit Log

Dover for sure! The Old Kiln
Found myself at Dover for sure! The Old Kiln, playing a high-stakes game of 'Stare at the Post' until the reflector finally winked back at me. Not really, but I can act dumb. It’s a great bit of history tucked away here. I didn’t find any actual fire, but the spark of joy upon seeing that signature logbook was more than enough to keep me warm. A very industrial-chic stop.
