Signal the Frog® celebra el día de Australia

¡Entre el 26 y el 28 de Enero de 2018, geocachers de todo el mundo se reunieron para celebrar el día de Australia!

Se celebraron eventos de Geocaching en 85 países, con más de 31.800 geocachers participantes. El souvenir “Where in the World is Signal? Australia Day 2018” se concedió 25.700 veces. Signal también llevó un regalo a la fiesta: ¡Un souvenir de país para Australia! ¡Todos los geocachers que hayan encontrado o encuentren un geocaché en Australia conseguirán el nuevo souvenir de país en sus perfiles! Hasta ahora, el souvenir se ha concedido 168.772 veces.

Desde un evento de barbacoa invernal en Borgsum (Alemania) a las vacaciones de Signal en Australia, hemos reunido fotos entre las fotos de eventos para mostrar cómo se celebra Australia en todo el mundo.

Signal the Frog® fête Australia Day

Du 26 au 28 janvier, des géocacheurs se sont réunis dans le monde entier pour fêter Australia Day !

Des Events ont eu lieu dans 85 pays, et ont rassemblé plus de 31.800 participants. Le souvenir “Où est Signal ? Australia Day 2018” a été décerné 25.700 fois. En plus, Signal est venu à la fête avec un cadeau : un souvenir de pays pour l’Australie ! Tous les géocacheurs qui ont trouvé ou trouveront désormais une cache en Australie gagneront ce nouveau souvenir de pays pour leur profil ! Ce souvenir a été décerné 168.772 fois jusqu’ici.

D’un barbecue glacial à Borgsum en Allemagne aux vacances australiennes de Signal, nous avons réuni des photos prises aux Events afin de vous montrer de quelle façon on fête l’Australie aux quatre coins du monde.

Signal the Frog® celebrates Australia Day

From January 26-28, 2018 geocachers all over the world got together to celebrate Australia Day!

Geocaching events were held in 85 countries, with more than 31,800 geocachers in attendance. The “Where in the World is Signal? Australia Day 2018” souvenir was awarded 25,700 times. Signal also brought a gift to the party: A country souvenir for Australia! All geocachers who have found or will find a geocache in Australia will earn the new country souvenir on their profiles! So far, the souvenir was awarded 168,772 times.

Last November I attended The Alexandra Event 2017 in Victoria, Australia. I was welcomed by geocachers from all over the country and spent the sunny spring weekend exploring the beautiful countryside through some amazing geocaches. While I toured around with local reviewers Pete and Helen (Bunjil), we ran into a group of four ladies on a similar caching path. They were usually a step ahead of us while solving some fun yet tricky gadget caches.

I quickly learned that I’d have to communicate differently with this caching group since all the members of their team were deaf. Smiles, waves, my typical thumbs up, and writing on paper would be the proper methods of communication. As the day progressed smiles increased each time we saw each other.

When you stand at S 90° 00.000 W 180° 00.000, the only way to go is north. That’s what makes this Virtual Cache at the South Pole so nice nice, baby. Yeah, we went there. Sorry. We were just trying to be cool.
