Today is the day! Geocachers around the world are finding and logging caches, Events, and Adventures in the hopes of setting a new record for the most explorers logging a find in a single day. If you haven’t already, make sure to find a cache and post your Found it log to count towards the record. We’ll update this blog post periodically with the number of explorers that have made a find today.

As of 5:30 pm PT 101,551 explorers have found a geocache, or attended an Event. Keep up the good work! Keep your eyes out for updates about the record attempt in the blog, our social media channels, and our newsletter.

Because of the different ways the Adventure Lab® and Geocaching platforms are set up, it will take a few days to crunch all the numbers and get the final count. We’re able to get a rough idea of how many cachers found an Event or geocache, but we’ll have to wait until after International Geocaching Day to see how many cachers found Adventure Locations.
